Opposites

I saw a fun survey called “Opposites” in a recent issue of Marie Claire magazine, so I thought it would be fun to answer the questions! If anyone wants to join in on the fun in the comments or on their own blog, feel free! I love learning about other people 🙂

Would always: Say thanks when it’s due.
Would never: Steal.

Picky about: Clothes; I won’t buy something if I don’t absolutely love it.
Not so picky about: Animals, especially dogs. I love them all.

I feel for: People who are lonely.
No sympathy: Not sure. I feel as though I am a pretty sympathetic person.

Glad it’s ahead of me: Life in general.
Glad it’s behind me: My teenage years, school, house hunting, wedding planning, and job searching.

Early for: Appointments and church. Most of the time 😉
Late for: Keeping up with trends in technology.

Would pay good money for: Dental and health care.
Wouldn’t take even if free: A plane ticket, sadly. Also, drugs.

Fear conquered: Swimming in the ocean and horseback riding.
Not quite there yet: Flying.

Farthest vacation: Cozumel, Mexico.
Nearest: Wheeling, WV.

Would try once: Swimming with manatees.
No, thanks: Sky diving.

Career highlight: Getting a few articles I’ve written published.
Low point: Nothing yet.

Lie about: My height 😉 … just kidding. I’m short and it’s okay.
Honest about: Everything else.

Too much in my life: Work that I keep committing to. Road work in Pittsburgh.
Not enough: Time with family.

Mother's Day

Subject I won’t shut up about lately: Dogs and the recent political debates.
Subject I avoid: I’m an open book, I think.

Will always remember: My wedding day.
Would rather forget: Wisdom teeth removal.

7

Better than I expected: Home ownership.
Worse than I expected: Owning two puppies. It was hard, and I still miss them so much. One at a time in the future.

Perfect day begins with: Coffee and my Bible.
And ends with: Snuggling with Jimmy and Lola. And a snack.

Okay, your turn. Answer some of these!

    1. I love surveys! They really are so much fun, and it’s always cool to learn about other bloggers :). I guess I don’t remember getting my wisdom teeth out either, I do remember the days/weeks afterwards, and it was rough. I definitely want to forget that!

  1. This is a cool survey. I had my wisdom teeth out a few years ago and yuck, not a good time. Can’t blame you to want to forget it. I’ve occasionally lied about my height too, but it’s hard to do when you’re short. I can only get away with maybe an inch and even then, it’s still a super short height.

  2. LOVE this!! 🙂 I definitely think I might do it on my own blog at some point, and I’ll link back to you. 🙂
You’d fit right in at my house… We’ve been talking a lot about the political debates too. 🙂
I didn’t realize you had a fear of flying. I can understand it though! I fly, but I don’t particularly like it. I have an intense fear of falling, so heights terrify me.

    1. Thanks! I hope you get a chance to share the survey on your blog!! I’m glad I’m not the only one talking about the debates! They are truly fascinating and exciting! I had no idea you had a fear of falling! Did something traumatic happen that caused that for you, or has it always been a fear?

    1. Isn’t it fun to learn about other bloggers?! I always love surveys because there are always questions that the blogger wouldn’t think to answer otherwise 🙂 and yep… terrified of flying!

  3. Ugh, I’d rather forget my wisdom teeth removal too! Also, I’m with you on your “early for” and “late for”!

    1. It’s the worst! Or at least it was for you and I, haha. Oh well, I’m so, so glad it’s done. I kept thinking, well I will never have to go through getting my wisdom teeth removed ever again. Ever! Woo! Haha. I’m so happy I’m not the only one late on the whole technology trends, etc!! I just can’t keep up!

  4. When you travel, do you always drive?? I swear flying isn’t so bad!! 🙂 I still get nervous at take off, but after that I’m okay! Wisdom teeth are the worst memory. The actual surgery wasn’t so bad because I was asleep but the recovery was awful. I hated how the painkillers made me feel! I love this kind of post and will probably steal it soon;)

    1. Yes! I used to fly, but I became so afraid over time, sadly! Ugh to wisdom teeth for sure. My experience was one of the worst experiences of my life because I got a dry socket. It was so rough. I agree with you on the painkillers, too. I hope you do steal the survey soon! I would love to read it on your blog 🙂

      1. I was terrified of getting a dry socket! I’m so sorry that happened to you! And I hope you are able to fly somewhere amazing soon 🙂 The destination should make the flight worth it! Haha
