To them God has chosen to make known among the Gentiles the glorious riches of this mystery, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory. Colossians 1:27
How was everybody’s Resurrection Sunday?! Mine was very relaxing and fun! I attended Church and went to Bravo Italian Restaurant with family and basically chilled. Well I have some other exciting news. But i’m not ready to share yet because I’m not 100% sure! My Resurrection Sunday included some of this:
My family goes to Starbucks to bond… and everyone goes on their phones! Crazy.
^ Smoothie mix from Whole Foods. It was $2.49 but Jimmy found a dollar on the ground so it was actually like $1.49 😉 Anyways, the smoothie mix was very chocolately and it said to mix it with water, but I mixed it with soymilk and it was good, except a little chunky!
Now onto today. I am going to post a recipe on my recipe page! Here are some pictures from my creation…. Vegetarian Split Pea Soup.
Now… is anyone else weird like me? This is the weather in Pittsburgh right now:
Ummm yeah, why did I make soup?! I suppose I am just weird because I also eat chili in August and throughly enjoy it 🙂
Do you have any weird weather/food habits?
I love pea soup 🙂 I have never made it myself though!
Aww, that is totally cute family get together at Starbucks!
Sounds like a great easter!! We always go to the conservatory on easter weekend too; kind of a tradition I suppose. Love that your fam. goes to Sbucks together! I wish mine did…only me and my mama drink coffee (but we make up for them with our tremendous consumption!!) hehehe
Split pea soup is DA BOMBBB!!
Glad you had a lovely Easter ❤
We had home-made vege soup for dinner last night actually. It was nice. 🙂 Not weird at all. Though, it was cool and rainy here.
I went to church both on Good Friday and Easter Day, and had a good Easter apart from getting hit in the face (accidentally!) and getting a fat lip on Sunday afternoon.
Happy Easter! I think everyone thinks their family’s are a bit weird but we are just all unique.
I lovvvvvve split pea soup!
Oooh pea soup sounds delicious!
I eat my sandwiches weird. I take them apart. Eat everything in the middle.. and then eat the slices of bread. I eat a lot of food in a strange way .. apparently 🙂
Haha your family all on their phones…that is hilarious!
I loved your comment about the discount on the smoothie mix due to the dollar you guys found…haha!
🙂 i was looking up recipes for pea soup the other day because we get so muh peas in china .. that looks rather yum soup !
i love eating ice -cream when the weather gets cold .. it cheers me up :p
Mmm, pea’s are so yummy!! Especially in soup 🙂
Ice cream makes me happy hehehe!
haha yes I think with air conditioning, it’s easy to crave winter type foods in summer. As we don’t have air conditioning I am all about the salads and grilled foods when the hot weather comes. 🙂
That is so true! I bet if I didn’t have AC I would be eating popsicles all the time hahaha
I love soup any time of the year. HA-that and hot cocoa. PS, I sent you an email about Norfolk VA…that is literally right where I live. You should come visit. 🙂
I love wrapping up in blankets even in the summer time!
Aww, me too! I still use my heating blanket even though it is almost May 😀
The soup looks delish! Soup is good in any weather. And these days, any together time even with cell phones is bonding!
Haha – my friends and I were hanging out in one guy’s living room Friday night… all glued to our phone. So sad, yet so funny. 🙂
LOL, that IS too funny! That kind of thing happens with my friends all the time.
lol…that’s a funny family shot! I can imagine something similar here in a few years…=D
Soup…81F..haha…just not warm enough for you.?
Fantastic scripture today!! I am so grateful for your Christian perspective on all your posts and blog comments. HAPPY EASTER!
Hahh. You’re crazy.
Not really. If you wanted soup, have some soup. When it’s cold out, I just want like fish. Well, I want fish all the time.
I AM crazy 😉 But I like it haha. Gotta have my soup!!
Ummmm I LOVE fish.. lets have a fish eating party? 🙂
I think we are all a little weird 🙂
The other day it was 80+ and on one of my RARE Starbucks visits I asked the barrista to make my decaf soy latte EXTRA hot.
That is too funny!!! I had no idea you could ask for a latte extra hot!! I will have to remember that in the cold winter months 😉
Oh girl, I totally make soup year round too so no worries. 😉 And the photo of you guys on your phone makes me laugh. When I was living at home, my family were all on our own individual computers (in the days before everyone had cellphones, haha!) so I know how that happens. 😉
Haha your family is looking at their cellphone. So funny. Such a modern world we live in… We eat hot noodle soup on hot weather too. I guess I’m weird too. haha. You’ve been very good with meatless food. I eat really less meat compared to everyone but I wonder if I would be eating more carb to make myself feel full without meat. But it sounds healthier and friendlier.
Yeah, my family is totally addicted to technology! We really do live in a modern world!
It was hot here the other day when I made my baked potato soup… what is up with us?! lol!! 🙂
