Thrifting, Studying, and Making

We’ve been having fun thrift shopping and bargain hunting lately! I think what’s so fun about it is that you never know what you’ll come across. Sometimes I go and don’t find anything, and sometimes I feel like I stumble across things that were left there just for me by the thrift angels. What’s funny is that it’s usually something someone thought was so worthless to them that they donated it to the Goodwill or thrift shop! It’s true: one man’s trash is another man’s treasure. 😉

I recently mentioned that I poked around in the sale bins at Family Dollar and found a few good deals on pantry items!

Being Mediocre and All the Therapy

I was thinking about how I have a lot of balls in the air right now: raising a family, serving in our church, homeschooling, housekeeping, baking, real estate work, and more.

Most days, I feel pretty inadequate in one area or another. Maybe I spent a lot of time teaching Sadie the alphabet, but dinner that night was just thrown together from various leftovers in the fridge. (more…)
