Lovely weekend

I think the word lovely perfectly describes my weekend.

Highlights of the weekend:

  • Friday: Going to Kennywood with Jimmy. It was Hannah’s school picnic day and since I was still her guardian for the week, I got to go! I had a blast and actually rode a new roller coaster. Best of all? I got to have some delicious watermelon and stayed till the park closed.
  • Saturday: My parents came home from their anniversary trip! I also washed my truck and went out to dinner with my family + Hannah’s friend.
  • Sunday: Going to church and hearing some awesome sermons, enjoying lunch made on the grill, and planting my garden.

I don’t have a lot of pictures from Sunday… just one of Jimmy’s little brother 🙂*

I had such a nice weekend! I feel so blessed, as per usual. This week I am teaching four Spinning classes and my mom is having foot surgery on Thursday so I’ll be taking care of her and the house.

Bible verse of the day:

This is what the Sovereign Lord, the Holy One of Israel, says: “In repentance and rest is your salvation, in quietness and trust is your strength.” Isaiah 30:15

What did you do this weekend?!

I’m alive

It’s true. I’m still alive. I just haven’t blogged in a few days because I’ve been busy having fun!

Summer has officially started for me. My Spanish final was on Thursday and it was tough. It was 145 questions and took me 1.5 hours. I was exhausted and brain dead after taking it. I got an 85% though, so I’m happy.

This past weekend was amazing and just plain fun. I didn’t turn on my computer or stress about anything and it felt so good.

On Friday I swam for a little in the morning, got my eyes checked (20/20 vision, yay!), picked Hannah up from school, went out to eat with my family, and got to see my best friend for a little bit at the mall.

Saturday can be summed up in pictures:I worked at Jimmy’s family’s shop from 7am-12pm. We had to run to Home Depot and I saw a little cactus so Jimmy bought it for me. We also went on a trail run together (well.. Jimmy biked and I ran) and saw a snake. Fun stuff!

Saturday was also spent playing with street bikes, Rzr’s, and riding in Mustangs. I guess it was a vehicle binge kind of day?

On Sunday I went to church, grilled out with my family, took Lola on a trail walk, and washed my truck.

Today is my day off of work but this is my work schedule for the week:

  • Tuesday: Teach spinning @ 6:15
  • Wednesday: teach spinning @ 4:30 and 7:15
  • Thursday: teach spinning @ 6:15

Not too shabby! Well, this post is long enough and I have a few errands to run today so I better get going.

Have a great day!
