Chocolate Elevator, Third Child Life, and Secret Books

We brought Sadie to her computer coding class and there was an elevator to get upstairs to the class. Mordecai and Sadie both love elevators. Me? Not so much. In fact, I once swore I would never ride in one again after being trapped in one with a group of people and my mom. I’ve overcome that fear a tiny bit and decided we could ride in it.

We stepped inside and Sadie said “I like this elevator! It’s so chocolate-y!” and you know… it did look a bit chocolate-y 😂

The Return to Baking: Making a Peeps Cake with Sadie!

Baking is something I just love to do! Each time I’ve had a baby, it falls a bit to the wayside and I always wonder… will I want to pick it back up again? The answer has always been yes. This time, it was Sadie who got me back in the kitchen!

I was wanting to do some hands-on science lessons with her and gave her a few options: astronomy with our telescope, geology with rocks and gemstones, or baking. Sadie made mama proud and chose baking!

She decided she wanted to make a Peeps cake for spring, so that’s what we did. We woke up one morning and both Mordecai and Dakota were sleeping so we started baking her cake at 7:00 am 😂 (more…)
