How was your Thanksgiving? I want to hear all about it!
Ours was low key and delicious! We started the day by being overjoyed that Sadie slept in until a little after 7:00 am! Yes, that is totally “sleeping in” for us nowadays 😉
After everyone was up and had a pancake breakfast, we headed out to Starbucks to grab some coffee, a puppuccino for Niva, and Saide picked out a milk.
We popped the trunk and settled into the back of our car to enjoy our drinks for a bit. I’m pretty sure Niva enjoyed her treat the most! Sadie made sure to have a lick of the whipped cream, too.
After we got ready for the day we headed over to my parents’ house for a little Thanksgiving gathering with them and my sister’s family.
Sadie and Caroline’s faces when they saw each other was priceless.
The girls spent the day playing, playing, and playing some more. It’s always so nice when they’re together because they entertain each other really well. It’s truly a joy to see them grow up together and be so close.
Niva and I snuck out on a little walk in the afternoon. I haven’t walked her alone in a long time so it was quite the treat for us both!
All of the adults rotated between keeping Sadie and Caroline out of trouble, relaxing, and helping prepare the big meal.
We had a traditional Thanksgiving dinner with turkey, mashed potatoes, corn, stuffing, sweet potato casserole, apple pie, and a few other sides.
After dinner, we all hung out and cleaned up before heading home. What a blessed day! It was so nice to spend the day with family and reflect on the many reasons we are thankful. God is so good ❤
