It’s December—the most wonderful time of the year! This month always feels extra special to me, filled with fun, joy, and so many sweet moments. I am here for it!

As always, here’s what’s current in my life this month. I’d love for you to share your answers in the comments too—I truly love hearing from you and seeing what everyone is up to!

Current books Working through my own book, Real Mom, Real Faith each morning and also flipping through Sally’s Baking 101 and The Perfect Cake. Sadie and I just finished American Girl: 5-Minute Stories and Mordecai dances so adorably to the music in this sing-along book.

Current goal Developing a DIY sink-cleaning scrub recipe. I usually use Bar Keepers Friend, which works really well, but I want to try something with fewer chemicals—so I’ve been experimenting with baking soda, salt, cream of tartar, and essential oils. I’ll report back if I figure out a good formula!

Currently looking forward to All the celebrations with family this month!

Current food We had the best dinner at our friend and neighbor Bernadette’s house the other night! She hosted us along with my parents and we enjoyed an evening of great conversation, her sweet pups, and amazing turkey dinner. Thank you, Bernadette! 🥰

Current drink Can you guess? Starbucks coffee! Specifically their Christmas Blonde Roast.

Current baked good I made cinnamon raisin granola the other day! It’s such a simple and satisfying recipe. It’s one of my favorite granolas to give as a gift, too.

Current fun Playing with clay! Sadie’s advent calendar is a jewelry-making kit, and we made beads for a necklace from polymer clay and baked them. I now need to buy a pack of polymer clay for myself to play with. 😂

Current excitement We have so many exciting things on deck this month: Jimmy is taking Sadie on a surprise date to see David, we’re going to Dazzling Nights, Sadie and Mordecai are in our church’s Christmas Eve program, and we’ll be celebrating Christmas with family!

Current beauty products Dove Peppermint Bark Body Scrub smells exactly like peppermint bark, and I love how well it exfoliates. I’m also on my second jar of Bliss Pumpkin Enzyme Mask—hands down one of my favorite skincare discoveries of 2025!

Current blessing Experiencing Dakota’s first Christmas! This time last year, we were dreaming and praying about what it would be like to celebrate Christmas with our third baby. Now she’s here, and it feels like the sweetest answered prayer.

Current laugh There’s a constant battle in our home over the Christmas tree lights! Our tree is pre-lit and the lights can be white, multi-color, or blinking multi-color. Can you guess where I’m going with this? Jimmy and I like the look of classic white lights… and the kids are all about the blinking multi-color lights. We’re forever changing them back and forth, and it cracks me up!

Current kids product Sadie has been taking this sticker book with her in the car on our long drive into church and it really holds her attention. Mordecai spends hours playing with this Play-Doh kit. It’s also the season for sore throat lollipops—such a smart invention!

Current home product An adorable incense burner! Some of my very favorite memories are from visiting my grandparents every Christmas Eve. My grandma had a village of incense burners, with smoke gently drifting up through each chimney. I still remember how good it smelled and how cozy it felt. Those memories are so vivid for me—and now I’m starting my own little incense village, hoping my kids will grow up loving it just as much.

Current craving As always, a date with Jimmy! I’d also love a good chunk of time to dive into some crafts. 😬

Current indulgence Evenings in the hot tub with Jimmy and the kids! There’s nothing better than soaking in warm water with my favorite people.

Current need A winter hat. Pittsburgh got snow this week (!) and I had to borrow Jimmy’s hat when I played outside with the kids. Sorry, Jimmy. 🤭

Current joy The kids’ excitement over snow! We got a few inches on Tuesday, and every morning since then they run straight to the window to check if it’s still there—completely amazed each time. It’s so, so cute!

Current confession I had this great idea to make sticker books for the kids’ Bible lessons I do with them. It sounded so easy in my head! So I bought a Cricut machine… and promptly returned it. 😂 I could not get the hang of it at all! It always makes me laugh when people assume I’m techy because I have a blog—when in reality, I’m pretty terrible at learning new technology.

Current question Do you wrap your Christmas gifts as soon as you buy them, or do you wait? Where do you store them? I bought Jimmy a Christmas gift the other day and Mordecai (innocently!) found it and showed it to him, LOL! I need to figure out better hiding places. 😜
