Celebrating Sadie’s 7th Birthday

Sadie girl is seven years old! She is growing into such a kind, thoughtful, and thankful little girl. She is full of joy, wants to be friends with everyone, and loves music. She is always ready to ride her bike and loves Lucky Charms. She’s an amazing big sister and loves spending time with our extended family and her neighborhood friends.

To celebrate her big day, Jimmy took the day off of work and we asked Sadie what she wanted to do. She requested a trip to Build a Bear with just mom, time at the trampoline park with just dad, a bike ride, and frozen yogurt. So, that’s just what we did!

She was so excited that it rained on her birthday—she loves rainy days! She was also thrilled to have one-on-one time with each parent—something that’s hard to come by when you have little siblings 😉

Sadie chose a cat to stuff at Build a Bear and named it S’mores! After we spent some time choosing a leash and an outfit for S’mores, we headed home so she could go to the trampoline park with Jimmy.

They bounced their hearts out and came home happily exhausted. Sadie then got her next wish: a bike ride while her siblings napped. I walked, she biked, and we chatted! Then she did her schoolwork for the day, ate dinner, and we went out with Jimmy’s sister for frozen yogurt.

The birthday celebrations kept going when Sadie’s Gramma K took her out on a special date the next day. They got their nails done and grabbed lunch out! Once again, Sadie was so thankful for a special time out 🩷

That evening, Jimmy’s mom and step dad stopped by to visit and we sang happy birthday to Sadie and sliced up the smallest cake ever, lol. The mini cake obsession continues 🍰

Saturday was Sader Tot’s birthday party! She invited all of her cousins and friends and we had the party at a local gymnastics gym. The kids spent 1.5 hours romping around on the mats, trampolines, a bounce house, and zipline.

We served brownies (she didn’t want cake!!?!) and sang Happy Birthday so she could blow our her “7” candle.

About halfway through the party, Sadie unfortunately got a stomach ache and ended up falling asleep in my dad’s arms! I think all of the excitement and running around the whole week and at the party got to her and she got nauseous and crashed. She felt better within a few hours, thankfully!

We had such a great time celebrating our Sadie girl. She is truly a blessing and I can’t wait to see how she grows and becomes who God made her to be this year 🩷

  1. she is the sweetest, kindest 7 year old who loves life and having fun!! I’m so proud of her, and of you and Jimmy as parents. You have helped her to become so well rounded, caring and such a great example to her siblings!
her party was so much fun, but seeing her not feeling well just broke my heart. I know she had been looking so forward to her ‘friends and family’ party for well over 2 months! I’m glad she’s feeling better, and back to the fun loving Sadie girl that she is ❤️

    love, Madre

The party was a blast and I count it pure joy she chose me to hold her while she did not feel well and took a little nap!
