Hi and happy Sunday! How have you been lately? The weather has been blah here the past week, and I am so ready for some warmth and sunshine! The kids and I have been doing lots of reading. We’re going through their stack of Easter books as we draw closer to Resurrection Sunday!

I got my hair trimmed this weekend and it felt great to get that done. My curls were dead and now they’re alive again haha. I got a few inches cut off my hair in order to stay ahead of it looking super thin with postpartum hair loss 😂

Here’s a snapshot! Also, I had that sleeper on Dakota yesterday without a bow and so many people asked me how old “he” was haha. Sorry, Dakota!

I did hair maintenance and Jimmy did yard maintenance! He sharpened our lawn mower blades and cut our grass for the first time this year!

We’ve also been pet sitting Niva’s best friend, Runah all week while her owner is in Hawaii, so that has been fun. We are going to miss having Rue around! Huskies are definitely pack dogs. Niva hates to be away from us, but if she has Runah, she is happy!

Our next door neighbor had knee surgery so I put together a meal for her! I made my rosemary chicken, roasted potatoes, salad, and cookies. I’ll be making her stuffed peppers sometime this week, too.

With the weather being chilly and cloudy this week, we spent a lot of time at the library!

We went to a baby and toddler story time and Mordecai was so happy! He loved learning songs and hearing stories. Sadie is always along for the ride, too!

We brought Sadie’s schoolwork to the library another day and started doing her math lesson. We finished up and I noticed a brother and sister standing nearby, looking like they wanted to play so I made the executive decision to save the rest of her schoolwork for later and let the kids go play with new friends and boy did they have a good time!

They spent about two straight hours just romping around and enjoying pretend play like only kids can. I am so happy for Sadie when she gets time to socialize like that! We finished her school lesson that afternoon during Dakota and Mordecai’s nap time and I was so thankful for the flexibility of homeschooling.

On Saturday night we were at the time between dinner and bedtime and needed to get the kids (and ourselves!) out of the house, but it was too cold to do anything outside so we went to a local mall. We just wandered around and stumbled upon a photo booth! I can’t resist a good photo booth–we even had one at our wedding!

We were laughing so hard while trying to take these pictures! Such a fun memory 😊

Love seeing the kids in matching Minecraft clothes 😂 Jimmy and Sadie love playing Minecraft together. They went to see the new Minecraft movie last weekend and loved it!

Family Starbucks dates are my favorite ☕️ The kids got a hot chocolate to share and Starbucks offers their drinks in a mug if you sit in the cafe. They thought that was too cool!

Mordecai was loving the silk scarves during story time at the library🧣

Jimmy got us girls matching dresses! He did a good job picking them out 🥰

Sadie and I made a mug cake together while Mordecai and Dakota napped and we made it special by putting a candle in it because why not!

I brought Mordecai to the store with me (and Dakota in her baby carrier) and he was loving all the attention… and chairs!

Last but not least, we went to Sonic for a drive-in experience and had dinner in the back of the car! Mordecai kept getting Sonic confused with Sonic the Hedgehog LOL!
