Is anyone else in shock that we’re really close to the end of the year?! October started and I thought to myself, we’re on a quick ride to Thanksgiving and Christmas, lol. I absolutely love this time of year, though! Pumpkin patches, falling leaves, cozy nights and starting to think about the holiday season!
As always, here’s what’s current in my life this month. There’s something REALLY exciting at the bottom of the post!! Please share what’s current for you in the comments 🙂
Current books I recently finished The Brave Learner and absolutely loved it. Also finished up Funny Story and now I’m onto The 4 Hour School Day. During my devotion time in the morning I’m doing a Bible study on motherhood by Daily Grace Co. and learning so much!
Current fun Learning to loom knit. I bought a kit while we were on vacation and it feels like a whole new world opened up to me, lol! I totally want to learn to crochet stuffed animals for the kids. Would that make me a cool mom to them?! 😂
Current laugh When we listen to dance music with a beat drop, Sadie calls the beat drop a “hot wave” haha.
Current drink Hot coffee has been especially good in the morning since it’s chilly here in the ‘Burgh first thing!
Current baked good It’s apple pie season! Also got a big Etsy order for chocolate covered Oreos for a school’s fall party. I can’t wait to get to work on those.
Current beauty product This eyeshadow stick is so affordable and glittery.
Current food Loving these crackers.
Current goal Planning Mordecai’s second birthday party. I’m in shock that he turns two next month!
Currently looking forward to A ladies event at our church! I am leading a workshop where we’ll make scripture boxes and I can’t wait! Also, we’re going to Pittsburgh’s Oktoberfest this weekend because there’s a ferris wheel on the Roberto Clemente bridge. I’m excited to see what Sadie thinks of it!
Current kid product Sadie got magnetic tiles for her birthday and both she and Mordecai enjoy playing with them! Also introducing Mordecai to the potty by using this one. Eek! Wish us luck, lol!
Current scripture Philippians 2:3.
Current craving Wandering around Hobby Lobby to look for items for sensory bins for the kids, haha.
Current home product We got a new car(!), so I ordered carseat protector mats and kick mats. Also using this fall-scented all purpose cleaning spray on the daily.
Current cuteness Sadie playing in the fall leaves!
Current need A new phone case. Mine is all cracked and I don’t want to drop my phone and break it, lol. Does anyone have a favorite brand of phone cases?
Current joy Everyday life with the family God has blessed me with 🤍
Current excitement I’m so excited to share that my sister is pregnant… with twins! Yes, babies number four and five for her sweet family! She and her husband Josh are asking for prayers for a healthy pregnancy and babies!
Current question Amazon had its Prime Days (which seem to happen more and more often lol!). Did you buy anything and score a good deal?! I got some long sleeve maternity shirts since the weather is cooling off in Pittsburgh and my bump is growing!

🙂
Thank you!! Love you!
so much excitement and fun in 1 blog post! I always love your pics – Deck with his tongue out and Sadie in the leaves are so adorable.
I did buy a few things from Prime days ~ mainly beauty products (surprise surprise). There were so many different deals it was a bit overwhelming for me – but it doesn’t take much to get me going down 25 product rabbit trails 😂.
you and your sister expecting at the same time – again- is so exciting.
love you!
madre
Seriosuly–so much excitement! Deck sticking his tongue out was cracking me up! Like where did he learn that?!
It was crazy the amount of deals! SO fun to find the best ones hehe.
Love you!
Good luck to your sister! Twins are an absolute blessing. I wonder if they’ll be fraternal or identical?
On phone cases: I have a Pelican case which has never failed and which is fairly slim. Otterbox are very robust, but rather bulky and really meant if you’re spending a lot of time on (say) building sites.
Thank you! I think we are going to do a series of posts on her experience because I know she’s already got a lot to share!! We think they’re fraternal, but not 100% sure yet!
I will look into Pelican cases. Thank you!!
