I was driving the kids the other morning and glanced in my rearview mirror. Sadie was putting her hand over Mordecai’s face. He had been crying on and off as we drove.
“What are you doing sweetie?” I asked Sadie.
“I’m using my hand to block the sun from his eyes!” she replied.
Once we got to a red light, I turned around and saw that she really was using her hand to shield his eyes from the sun. How sweet is that? By that point, he was all smiles. I love their relationship!
Niva and I visited our homeschool co-op for her therapy work! I think it’s safe to say the kids and Niva had a great time! Niva was instantly belly up when the kids touched her. She loves a good belly rub.
I was also able to do a presentation on therapy animals and what it’s like to become certified as a therapy dog and handler, what makes a dog a therapy dog, and where we volunteer.
As usual, Sadie and I have been playing around in the kitchen! We made cat-themed chocolate covered Oreos. That was way too fun!!
