Here we are, in the tenth month of 2023! October is always such a fun one–it’s *fully* fall and all the festivals and celebrations are in full swing.
What do you have going on this month? Tell me some of your “currents” in the comments! As always, here’s what’s going on for me currently.
Current books The Longest Race by Kara Goucher and Loving God with All Your Mind by Elizabeth George. Sadie has been enjoying An Ounce of Sharing at the Milk Bank which we got when we visited the Mid-Atlantic Mother’s Milk Bank last week!
Current food I randomly found pumpkin honey mustard and it’s great! I like to put it on sandwiches as a spread.
Current drink Since the weather is cooling off, I’ve been enjoying lots of hot coffee lately. Just plain coffee with a bit of cream hits the spot.
Current baked good Pumpkin spice cupcakes! I make them with a cheesecake filling and top them with cream cheese frosting. I’ll be sure to post the recipe soon.
Current pet products Since I’m back in therapy dog training mode, I purchased a no pull harness, training leash, and treat pouch.
Current laugh I brought Sadie and Mordecai to a grocery store with one of those double carts so they could sit side-by-side and they were so excited. Then Mordecai had a blowout and we had to completely strip him down to drive home. Sometimes you just have to laugh it off!
Another laugh happened when I was reading out loud to Sadie about ants in her science textbook before bed the other night. I didn’t know she had fallen asleep so I was just randomly reading out loud about ants to myself for ten minutes 😂
Current excitement I started planning Mordecai’s first birthday party. I have no idea how the past year has gone by so quickly but I’m very excited to celebrate our little guy.
Current goal Finishing Christmas shopping. Each year, I try and finish buying Christmas gifts sooner rather than later so I can be present and enjoy the actual Christmas season!
Current fun Fall festivals! We went to an apple festival in the afternoon and then a fall festival in our neighborhood in the evening last weekend and had such a nice time. I was able to get locally grown apples for pie making and we brought Niva to the festival in our neighborhood and she got to go on a hayride with us!
Current beauty product When I got a facial last month, the esthetician recommended adding toner to my daily skincare routine so I bought this and really like it.
Current craving It’s the time of year I like to do a little family staycation. I would love to visit Cabela’s again!

Yes! It’s a good month 🙂 And the cart… oh my word! It was quite a mess. So much so that you just have to laugh about it!!

This is my FAVORITE time of year. I love a good pumpkin item, and honey mustard sounds really intriguing. So does a facial. I’ve really been wanting one lately, but have no idea where to begin.
