We celebrated Jimmy’s birthday on Friday and Mordecai got him a matching shirt. The first of many matching outfits?! I hope so because it was adorable.
As a surprise date for Jimmy’s birthday, I booked a pottery lesson for us. When we painted ceramics for Mother’s Day, he mentioned wanting to try a pottery class.
We spent an hour together on Saturday learning the ins and outs of pottery wheels and clay. It turns out pottery is tough! I made a plate and Jimmy made a cup and bowl. They’re going to be fired in a kiln and then we’ll paint them.
The weather has been so nice in Pittsburgh lately. Warm weather, some sunshine, and relatively low humidity. We went to a park the other night and it was such a fun way to spend an evening.
The kids look totally bored, but I promise we all had a good time! Mordecai is starting to sit up on his own really well lately and he’s just growing up so quickly.
It feels like he was just a tiny newborn and now he’s so interactive, vocal, able to eat food, and is becoming more mobile every day.
The Memorial Day cupcake orders went well! I baked up a storm for a few days and we had a couple of cupcakes left over, so Sadie delivered some to our neighbors.
She’s growing up, too! It’s so weird that I can send her down the street (while watching her from our porch) and trust that she will go to the right house and do what she’s supposed to do.
Speaking of Sadie, we watched the new Super Mario movie with her and all enjoyed it! Now I can’t stop singing the Peaches song.
Last but not least for this random post, we’ve been pet sitting Niva’s best friend this weekend. The dogs have been running around, digging holes, and playing nonstop.
