We’ve had a busy past couple of days over here! On Thursday, I was contacted to sell granola to a shop near Lancaster, PA. This wasn’t my first wholesale request, but it was the first time I said yes! I’ve been baking and baking and baking some more.

This was just the beginning… you should see our countertops now. But you can’t really because they’re covered in granola 😬
I’ll be shipping 28 bags of granola out this week (on top of other orders) and Jimmy laughed at my timing. Here I am, eight months pregnant, making 14 pounds of granola 😂
On Friday, a friend asked if Braid Bakery can supply 300 cookies for an event next week. Obviously I said yes again! I have a hard time saying no to baking 😉
Aside from all the baking, we’ve had a fun weekend. Saturday morning found Sadie and I at a local craft show. She received five dollars for her birthday from her cousins and was ready to do some shopping!
She was such a delight and we visited every craft table to see all the beautiful jewelry, crocheted items, and other handmade goods. We ended up leaving with some bracelets, a crocheted purse for Sadie, and a Christmas pillow for me.
Jimmy was home, hard at work on some church stuff, and then picked up paint for baby boy’s bedroom. We finally pulled ourselves away from baking and working in the afternoon and went to not one, but two fall festivals.
The first festival was pretty big. We hadn’t been in a few years and were shocked at how much it had grown since we last attended.
My favorite vendor was an alpaca farm. They sold all kinds of goods like socks, sweaters, finger puppets, and more. We ended up buying Niva a dog toy made out of alpaca fur and she loves it. I picked up a pamphlet so Sadie and I can make a field trip out to the farm for a tour.
Sadie was a big fan of the free train ride and the bounce houses. After we left, we grabbed dinner at home and walked to our next fall festival. This one was right in our neighborhood and much smaller! It was fun catching up with neighbors, watching Sadie go down slides, and decorating a pumpkin together.
We were all worn out by the end of the evening, that’s for sure! Now it’s Sunday (and Sadie’s fourth birthday!) and we’re headed into the evening church service.
We’ve been pet sitting Niva’s bestie today, so she’s very happy! I have so much more to blog about (Sader Tot took an art class!), but so little time. I’ll try and get back to this space ASAP because it’s my fave!
SOOOO proud of you for your granola order! Hard work and dedication have paid off – and you have always been so consistent 🙂
I’m sure going to all the fall festivals was so much fun! The pic of you 3 and the one of Sadie in the train are super super nice!
Niva and her partner in crime – they’re so cute together!
I have not yet been to any fall themed events, but plan to on Oct 8th with as many family members that can go!
Love you
Thank you so much! It has been such a joy to run my Etsy shop! The festivals have been an absolute blast, too. Love you!
Congratulations on the success with your business! Well earned and deserved – your quality products speak for themselves.
Sounds like a fun kickoff to fall! I love that Sadie (happy belated birthday to her!!) was excited to spend her money at the craft fair.
Thank you SO much, Amy!! That means the world to me! Thank YOU for being a customer 🙂
Sadie was adorable at the craft fair with her $5! She was so into it!
Awww that festival reminds my of the harvest festivals my elementary school used to have. I remember being SO excited about going and winning prizes and hanging out with classmates after school hours lol! There was even a cake walk which was my absolute fave activity lol
So much fun, right?! I just love those types of events! I have to know… what is a cake walk?!
It was this game where it’s like musical chairs but numbers are on the ground. Music plays and you walk in a circle on the numbers whichever number you land on and if they call it out, you can go to a table to pick your cake! Lol combo of musical chairs and bingo I guess?
That’s so cool! I’ve never heard of it but I love that it involves cake, LOL!
