We are settling back into daily life after our trip and it feels so wonderful to be home! Each time I’m away from home for more than a few days, I always come back feeling thankful and inspired. It’s like I see things around my home with a fresh set of eyes and an extra thankful heart.

We picked up Niva from her boarding facility on Saturday and brought her and Sadie to a local park to play and it was great to be reunited!
Sadie and I started her homeschool lessons this week and we’re working through this curriculum. We did a few of the lessons over the summer to get a feel for things and we’re loving it as we do her lessons each day now. She’s working on learning the letters of the alphabet and it’s adorable to see her start to recognize them in different places throughout the day!
We have been reading this board book on the alphabet and it really keeps her attention because she gets to slide each page and discover different animals! Speaking of animals and books, we’re also loving this book on ocean creatures (I’m pretty sure I’ve learned a few things from it 😂) and this one about fish.

I dove right back into baking for my Etsy shop when we arrived home and it feels great to be fulfilling orders and adding new items to the shop!
Sadie and Niva are so happy to be reunited with each other. I just love seeing them together… even if they are mostly up to mischief 😉

I finally got us fully unpacked on Tuesday, but the laundry is another story. It will eventually be folded and put away. Key word: eventually 😆 I think motherhood has taught me to be a bit more okay with unfinished tasks, messes, and chaos.
Alright, I better get going for the day. I have bread to bake and a toddler who will wake up soon with more energy that I can imagine. Before I go, I want to share a photo of the devotion I read this morning. It was a good one!
Best pics of Sadie and Nina!
The Devo around the Psalms scripture was awesome!
Love 💕 you!
Dad
Aww, they are the best girls! Love you! ❤
Yes! I feel the same way when we come home from a trip. It’s so wonderful to go and experience a little piece of the world away from home, but it’s also SO sweet to be home again. ❤
Oh my goodness, I have learned so much from children's books, haha! Her curiousity about the world has taught me SO much! I love learning alongside with her. 🙂
So glad Niva and Sadie were reunited! ❤
Exactly! Well said, Rach!
Children’s books are the best! They make my heart so happy 🙂
I’m glad you had a wonderful trip! I haven’t had much time to comment recently, but it looks like you were having so much fun in your vacation photos. I just got home from a trip yesterday, and I’m also glad to be back and into my familiar routine, so I know exactly what you mean.
Sorry for the slow response to your last email — I’ll definitely reply soon. 🙂
I hope your trip was awesome, Grace!!
