I have a thing for lists. Each year since 2011, I have made a list of the books I read that year. Over the years, themes in my reading have emerged. I realized I like nonfiction and I really enjoy reading about:
The above links are lists of books that I’ve read and enjoyed over the years. I thought I’d share in case anyone else out there is interested in the same topics as me π
Man, Sadie has been giving me a run for my money this week. I don’t know if she has just been off schedule with sleeping, which makes her cranky, but we have had some epic meltdowns.Β
I came across this image on Pinterest and it was just what I needed.Β
I think I may need to print it out and frame it so I can look at it on the tough days.Β
We went to our church’s Youth Summer Days group at a local park today and had a blast. Niva enjoyed time with Indy, my sister’s golden retriever. The moms got to talk and the kids got some energy out. Win-win!
Our little black panther held down the fort at home β€
Sadie and I went to Walmart in matching outfits yesterday. I still love matching with her and I’m going to keep doing it until she’s too embarrassed to go out in public with me!Β
Hey Allie!! Love this blog post – you need to send me that picture of Indy and Niva!!
Iβve had a lot of reading to do with my summer course so I havenβt been able to read much else besides the Bible! But I enjoy parenting books and I mostly like fiction!
I get through tough days by prayer and talking things out with none other than you, mom, and Josh. It helps me so much to talk and write down my thoughts also!
Ohh, I totally will! Isn’t it the cutest?!
So funny how I like nonfiction and you like fiction! What are you reading for your summer course? I totally forgot about it!
Amen to prayer, talking, and writing! It’s the best β€
The class I am taking is called World Religions! So far Iβve learned about Buddhism, Confucianism, Daoism, Hinduism, and Judaism!
Forgive me for not catching this but did you adopt a husky name Niva?! She’s incredibly gorgeous!! I love huskies and love seeing that you’re husky parents!!
YES!! We got her right around Easter! Here’s some posts about her:

This year I’ve been reading about parenting (this has been the nonstop theme for the past 4 years, haha), the Enneagram, and systemic racism. I’ve learned so much!
I love that “I’m Grateful For” post. I really find myself leaning into thoughts like that during difficult days. β€ I know this post is super old now, but I hope you guys are back in your groove now.
Oh, and yes! Matching for as long as they will let us! π
