Hot yoga

Hi there and Happy Friday! I can’t believe it is September already. I made a promise to myself to welcome the new month and soon to be change of season πŸ™‚

Last night my BFF and I went to our first hot yoga class together! It was an experience to say the least. We were giggling, sweating, and having a blast the whole time.

The class was $9 if we showed our student I.D.’s (yay college) and we got a punch card so our next two classes are $5. The room was 98* and the class was really cool!

75 minutes of yoga was a little intense but we can’t wait to go back and bring our other friend, Brittany.

Have you ever taken a hot yoga or just regular yoga class? What did you think?!

  1. I sweat even at a regular yoga class, so when I went to hot yoga, it was a bit too much for me πŸ™‚ I donΒ΄t enjoy hot temperatures at all, so I am waiting till the invent “cold yoga” for me πŸ™‚

  2. I’ve done regular yoga but the room is usually chilly (they do cardio classes in there too, so I guess that’s why), so definitely not HOT. I like doing it, it’s a nice way to relax the muscles we use for running all the time!

  3. Hot yoga is my FAVORITE! That was actually the first kind of yoga I ever did and it makes you feel soooo wonderful once you’ve sweat out every ounce of nasty in your body. Jealous of your student discount though! Now I just do my own yoga in the sauna at the gym because it’s so much cheaper πŸ˜€

  4. I used to do hot yoga allllll the time, and loved it! I like it better than Bikram yoga (which was just TOO hot). When I went back to regular yoga, the room felt so cold!

  5. I’m glad you enjoyed it! I did a few yoga classes and it is NOT for me. No bueno. My gym doesn’t have hot yoga but I’m sure we could just go outside in the middle of the day and do it. It would be at least 100˚. Sometimes I actually like to run in that heat just to sweat everything out, it feels good.

  6. I really like hot yoga, but we only have bikram available around here so it gets boring after a while. I’d like to try a more flowy class that changed it up a bit. I always feel so energized and stretched out after class and I love it!

  7. I tried yoga once or twice and didn’t fall in love with it. People in my area are basically hooked on it….however I cannot sit still for long so I found it really iritating trying to find my inner peace or whatever I was supposed to do…I’l stick to running πŸ™‚
