Home on the range

Great peace have those who love your law, and nothing can make them stumble. Psalm 119:165

I truly believe in making the best of every situation handed to me. If something doesn’t go my way, why not try to have fun in the different situation?!

So i’m not at SHU and i’m not running cross country but I have so many other awesome things in my life right now!

Because i’m home… I can see my favorite person more often and have Bible studies on Wednesday nights @ Starbucks together!

Because i’m home… I was able to take my little sister to the gym and hang out with her/show her the “ropes”

Because i’m home… I can participate in one of my favorite hobbies. BAKING! (Zucchini bread)

Because i’m home… (and not practicing cross country 4 hours a day) I have time to straighten my hair.

Because i’m home… (and not practicing cross country for 4 hours a day) I have time to study. On my bedroom floor.

Because i’m home… I can walk my pup!

Because i’m home… I can see my BEST FRIEND more often!

Life is all about looking at things from a different point of view 🙂

  1. Love the verse and your positive attitude Allie! 🙂 Looks like the semester is gonna be pretty rockin after all, especially with all those extra hours in the day with no practice haha

  2. Agreed! You are going to still have a lot of fun living at home. At times, it isn’t the most glamorous of situations, but there are a lot of positives!

  3. Got swamped at work and am just catching up and OMG so much change! It looks like you’re handling it really well though. The ability to stay positive and look on the bright side is going to get you SO far. 🙂

  4. I love how you have found so many good things about being home again! I wouldn´t mind spending my year at home too 🙂 The idea of returning to school freeks me out a bit :/

  5. I am sorry I have been absent on all of the excitement occuring in your life! I know it’s hard to say goodbye to something you really wanted (cross country) but everything happens for a reason. You now can be at home near your family and friends, while still learning everything you need to. I believe that you were meant to go to Penn State again for a reason, although we don’t know why.

Also, it is probably for the best that you’re not running cross country. If the coach was mean to you now, I’m not sure what would have happened in the future!

Good luck to you these first couple days. You will do great!

  6. Hey!!! My first comment on your blog here woo! God and Starbucks – what a perfect combination girl, you are so positive, it’s awesome! I love being at home to see my oldest friends and totally loving the bedroom floor as a study – retro hehe.

  7. starbucks dates with the boy and gym dates with the sister? I’m so jealous! I’m glad you’re able to find all the good in the situation. Everything happens for a reason and you just have to make the best of what is on your plate!

  8. SO true girl..keep up the positive attitude and keep asking God to show you more positives! He always knows what’s best for us which is so much better than us controlling our own lives. Have a good weekend!

  9. Great outlook girl!! Plus I personally think the whole being able to straighten your hair thing becuase you have time is a def win…i can too now because i can’t play soccer! win? YES (except still sad haha)
