Hey everyone! Thanks for all of the support about my last minute college switch. Every comment made me smile 🙂
I figured I would show everyone my schedule of classes this semester!
My Monday and Wednesday’s basically stink. I have IST (a computer class), Economics, Microbiology, and News writing. 2 of the classes are an hour and 15 minutes and two of the classes are 50 minutes. Luckily I have a break so I can eat lunch!
Tuesday and Thursday’s will rock. I only have rhetoric for 1 hour and 15 minutes but I know it is a TOUGH course with a lot of work/reading.
On Friday’s I have IST and Economics again for 50 minutes each. Not too shabby!
My course load is going to be TOUGH this semester but I’m excited to get to work. I got a decent schedule for how late I had to schedule.

Home Eats
Now that I am moved back home I have also been enjoying lavish non-dining hall eats…
Yes, this picture looks gross but gross looking food is the best, right?! Berry pancakes with peanut butter and maple syrup. Hollie would be so proud of me eating my weight in pancakes 😉
Refried beans a la Susan (peppers & onions!!)
Pink Lady apple with pb and ssb to dip<3333
Jamie and I share a love for cereal in a coffee mug 🙂
Cereal + soy milk + coffee with cream 🙂

Be on the lookout for my next post on the pro’s and con’s of college away and at home.
Any tips for managing my difficult course load/schedule?!?!
Dude I feel your pain with a crammed schedule, but at least your tuesdays and thursdays are pretty nice! And no 8 am classes yay! That’s awesome you got into the classes you needed at the last minute, and that you get to eat some delicious home cooked food now haha 🙂
Those pancakes look good to me 🙂 Well, all my classes are 1 hour 30 minutes long, so I might be even a bit jealous of your schedule :)) But you have a lot of work on your shoulders, that´s for sure! Good luck dealing with all of that!
Monday and Wed do look pretty hectic but hey no 8am classes 🙂 That’s a huge plus!
Uhg I have a difficult/heavy course load. GET EVERYTHING YOU CAN GET DONE AHEAD OF TIME. haha seriously I had to yell that. If they tell you, you need to do a research paper start searching for topics and get started! You don’t want to be in the middle and have a ton of other crap to do on top of a research paper or whatever
Suggestion for managing schedule? More pancakes. What WON’T that solve? 😀
I like your Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays. LOL. Good luck with your classes! Huh…good idea to eat cereal in a coffee mug. =)
Hopefully you have a great school year despite all the lateness and what not.
I am curious to hear what your other cross country coach said when you had to leave.
Work the same amount of hours each day — On Mondays and Wednesdays they ate course heavy — on Tuesdays and Thursdays find a quiet place to study (away from home) for the same amount of time you’d be in classes….you know what I mean? Treat school like a FT job 9-5 or whatever.
Oh and do as I say, not as I did. (I lasted two weeks doing this — finally I stopped falling asleep in the library and just went back to my dorm and napped instead (0:)
Wahh. I literally came into my house and was like no mom I can’t do that sorry, I have a blog to read first. I’m glad she understood. Eating your weight in pancakes is a sign of pure championess! Obviously! ;). Um your schedule looks so sweet! Can we trade?
Love that you don’t have anything until 11am… how wonderful. Ah the good ole college days. 🙂
Delicious looking soup, by the way!
Pink lady apples = heaven! I am glad everything is working out with PSU…Micro is a lot of fun (at least I thought so…although I am biased since I was a Biology major haha).
What is your major? Are you running? It would be hard for me to live home based on my family history…but if it works for you I don’t see why would shouldn’t do it 🙂 🙂
I always loved scheduling my classes!!!! I’d try to schedule them all back to back, because I never lived on campus. Oh how I miss those days 😉
I hope it’s an AWESOME semester!
Looking good, Allie!
I wonder…are you a Sophomore then? I see the 100/200 level stuff. Yo mentioned that you did not have all the classes you need, but i wonder if you can register for any upper division stuff now and take it? It might fill a requisite later and they really may not be any harder than the lower division, just depends on the course. Usually they are more interesting too. I took a 400 level class my fr year and was surprised that the only scary thing was a big research paper..and it helped toward the general upper division requirements.
Anyhow…just throwing stuff out there at you. You look like you have a good handle on school and will have a great year. Microbiology would scare me 🙂
I’m so totally doing the crazy schedule thing right nowtoo! Your college story is crazyyyy 🙂
Wow! That really was a last-minute decision. But if they’re going to treat you like that, it’s definitely not a school you want to be at. Congratulations on making a great choice!
My only tip is staying on top of all your homework! You can do it! I missed your last post and must go read it now and to why you are back at home! I know whatever choice you made was the best one for you!!!
There’s nothing like good ol’ home-cookin! 🙂
Scheduling can be so stressful, so I’m glad you got into the classes you wanted/needed. Remind me again, is your major creative writing?
Whoop! Loving that bean action.
