Bible Verse of the day: The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. Instead he is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance. 2 Peter 3:9

College/Running update: Still no running (obviously). Today my coach sent out the next 2 weeks of runs we should be doing and it is becoming very apparent I will be behind at training camp in August. We have started tempo runs and speed work.

Of course my first instinct is to panic and be worried that I won’t be able to keep up or that I’m going to suck but I am just trusting God through all of my worries and being patient!

What is cute and/or yummy in your life today?!

  1. Don’t stress!! I’m sure you won’t be the only one who’s been sidelined by an injury (or too much partying, or not enough sleep, or whatever) over the summer! 🙂 You’ll bounce RIGHT back.

Those chocolate covered pretzels look AWESOME!

  2. Oh my gosh those pretzels are so cute (and look so delicious!). I ate a huge salad today that was awesome. It may sound boring but I’d been CRAVING one so it totally hit the spot.

PS – love your nails in that latte pic 😉

  3. Seriously.. those chocolate pretzels with M&M’s look absolutley amazing! I love anything sweet and salty!

A something cute I saw recent was a dog.. golden retriever of course.. who had just gone on a long run with his owner. He was at school at dismissal today and was soo tired.. resting its head on EVERY leg that passed by.

  4. Mmm yummy eats, especially those pretzels 🙂 Don’t worry about being behind, I’m sure you’ll still blow their doors off with your supersonic speed when you fully recover! Like you said, God will help you through this, you may be ever better and stronger than before!

  5. Those nails are awesome :). I’ve been doing mine in crazy colors too. Right now they’re garnet with silver polka dots for USC because we’re in the College World Series for baseball :).

Good luck dealing with the injury and seeing this new trainer… with those prices he better be worth it, but maybe it won’t take a lot of visits for him to figure out how to get you running again? If you’re cross training it should definitely be easier to start back.

  6. Lola looks so cute in her hoody! And the iced mint latte sounds so good!
I hope you get better soon girl!

  7. Don’t worry about getting behind. Try to keep doing workouts that keep your heart rate high. Also, you know as well as I d running is more mental than anything. If you have a strong mind and heart, than you can’t be stopped. You have plently of time to get into shape. Because the only race that really matters is conference, regionals, and nationals!! Those races aren’t until Oct…so girl be patient and keep your heart and eyes on God. He will help you through this injury and help you through every step of every race/workout. 🙂
