Aw, shucks!

Golly.. after asking what you want more of on my blog, I had no idea people actually liked my randomness. I kinda thought you all felt bad for me πŸ˜‰

Everyone said that they like what I am doing and want to hear more about my personal life (cause I am sooo interesting, I know! JK.), recipes, and me transferring colleges! Well I do have some college updates!

Yesterday I filled out a bunch of student athlete forms and signed my national letter of intent.Β You may be wondering what that is.. I shall inform! National Letter of Intent:Β

  • A legal, binding contract in which a student agrees to attend a college for one academic year. In return, a college agrees to provide the student with athletics related financial aid for one year.
Yep, I just made a commitment! Now I haveΒ to go to Seton Hill.Β
You wanted to know more about my personal life. Well I’ll tell you. They gave me a $16,433 athletic scholarship. (I feel like i’m not allowed to say that on the internet?!)

Β I will admit it was scary to sign the forms and my mom was like “Why are you being all quiet and sad today?!” I guess I just haven’t been used to going outside of my comfort zone in a while. But I am ready for what ever God brings me to because I trust Him.Β
Today I enjoyed too much of this:I eat like half a watermelon a day. It makes my stomach appear to be carrying a large baby πŸ™‚ I also mentioned that I mowed. Well someone was CREEPING on me!
LOL. Okay. That is enough of my crazy/random/personal stuff πŸ™‚
Love yaaaaaaaaa<333333Β
What helps you when you are afraid of change?!

  1. Yay, congrats on the big decision! And what an amazing scholarship!

For me, it helps to imagine my life without changes, and how boring it’d be without all those life experiences. When I imagine the good things that will come, I always feel a bit more excited about it.

  2. First – you can never have enough watermelon!

Second – when I am afraid of change – I think about how many things I have changed in my past – and how great it has made my life. Doing something new is so scary.. and trust me I am addicted to routine. So branching out can be difficult for me (in fact, I definitely need to do it more. and now you have me seeing that more clearly.. so thank you for that!)

  3. That scholarship is legit. Are they D2? You are going to be running like 5 minute 5ks! ha. πŸ˜‰ It means you’ll have to update your DM all the time so I can be jealous of your life.

I’m super excited for your big ole change.

  4. Right now, I am going through some changes in my life, and a verse that I find really helpful is Jeremiah 29:11. “For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord. Plans to prosper you and not to harm you. Plans you give you hope and a future.”
It reminds me that God is always in control.
BTW, I do like your randomness. πŸ™‚

  5. Wow congrats on your scholarship! That’s such a wonderful news! By the way, you have been eating water melon, and I just realized I haven’t had one yet this year… Wait, have I seen one at a store..? maybe… I need to go get one for myself. πŸ™‚ I like reading your randomness. πŸ˜‰

  6. Great news about the scholarship! Congrats!!! Don’t be nervous – everything always works out like it’s supposed to. πŸ™‚

Watermelon is amazing, right? I think I ate half of one yesterday – totally feel you on the watermelon belly. lol!

  7. That’s an awesome amount of scholarship money!!! Congrats!
As for change/doing things out of comfort zone I have to try really hard to make myself go thru with it. I used to always just back out of things and not do it but doing new things and things that are out of your comfort zone is good for you and it helps you to grow as a person πŸ™‚ I’m so excited for you about these new changes πŸ™‚

  8. Watermelon!!!! YAY!!
Whenever I have to deal with change, I usually take an hour to just sit and collect my thoughts, whether it’s organizing papers, making notes in a datebook, praying, ya know? I just love having a structured plan in front of me, that always makes me feel better πŸ™‚

  9. So exciting – congrats! If it’s a change I can plan for, I like to think about how things will be different, what I will do, etc. If I can’t plan for it then I try not to worry about it since it won’t make a difference

  10. Congrats on signing your letter of intent! I try to look at new things as adventures.I think it helps step outside of my comfort zone.
