TEA Party

Licking a Lamp, Lots of Snow, and Being an Adult

Okay, I know licking a lamp and being an adult probably don’t belong in the same sentence. Is it possible to do something like lick a lamp and still act like an adult? You can read this post and tell me what you think 😉

Let’s start with the snow first, though. Pittsburgh was gifted a few inches of snow on Friday and it was awesome! We woke up to about an inch, then it snowed all day and well into the evening.

Baby boy and big sister on sled in snow (more…)

I ran!

Sweet niblets! It had been over 3 weeks since I ran. The athletic trainer who is helping me  rehab my knee told me to try running on Saturday. I didn’t because I was busy/tired (rest day=yum).

Sunday I thought “today is the day”.. well actually I was quite nervous. I did my stretches + foam rolled + iced + put on my brace and ran 3.4 miles on the dreadmill! I didn’t have too much pain at all because the brace helped a ton. I was pretty happy with that and I was also a hot sweaty mess after running for only 30 minutes aka i’m out of shpe LOL! It’s all good though 🙂

On Saturday Jimmy and I volunteered at the South West PA TEA Party. Yes THE TEA Party that you hear about on the news. We volunteer about 3 times a year at these events and they are quite fun.

Afterwards, we went and saw Transformers. (Not my choice of movie but you gotta please the guy too!) I was rockin the braids all day bahaha

Monday (Independence Day!) was spent with Jimmy as well. We went to the biggest fair in Western PA .. The Big Butler Fair! Boy did we feel out of place. Coming from Pittsburgh, we felt like city slickers for sure. I loved seeing all of the animals though!

Biggest rabbit EVER? Possibly.

Whud uppp!

That’s all for today folks! Do you ever feel like a city slicker or a country bumpkin when you go to different places?
