How was your weekend? I left off my last post on Sunday morning and ended up taking all sorts of pictures after I hit publish on that post. Soo, here are some pictures from our day 😊

See Jimmy’s shirt? A bunch of the women in our church pulled a prank on the men in our lives. We all collaborated and told our husbands/brothers/sons etc. that we got them a new shirt for Sunday. (more…)

Resurrection Rolls and Cat Hugs

Have you ever heard of Resurrection rolls? I hadn’t until this year, but they’re such a fun way to teach kids about the reason we celebrate Easter. They’re meant to symbolize the burial and resurrection of Christ.

They’re made by dipping a marshmallow in melted butter. It’s then rolled in a mixture of cinnamon and sugar and wrapped up in a crescent roll. When it bakes, the marshmallow disappears (melts). The marshmallow represents Jesus’ body and the crescent dough represents the tomb he was buried in. (more…)
