Princess, Pretzels, Pie, Puzzles, and Perler Beads

I had to do the P alliteration for this post title when I looked through my camera roll, lol! To start off the P’s, my mom, Sadie, and I played Pretty Pretty Princess this week.

I love board games, and this one is too cute. We’ve been playing lots of Candy Land and Zingo lately as well!

I also worked on chocolate covered pretzels for the November menu for my business. I always forget how simple and salty-sweet chocolate covered pretzels are!

Actually, now that I think about it, I was busy in the kitchen! The kids had a sick day (both had the sniffles and a temperature), so we laid low and I made apple pie, the above pretzels, and a lasagna.

The lasagna is a tried and true recipe… I should add it to my dinner recipe page! What do you think?

Mordecai played with a puzzle. He really likes to identify vehicles wherever we are. That kid can spot a digger from a mile away!

Sadie and I spent an afternoon doing Perler beads together. Love crafting with my favorite girl! I won’t be able to say she’s my favorite girl for much longer since baby girl will be coming on the scene in a handful of months haha.

Here’s a snapshot of the sickies. They were snuggled up to the floor vent for heat!

Let’s end this post on a good note with a pretty coffee picture! I’ve been into my Nespresso and these pods. Love that creama!

Okay, I am off to start a busy few days. We have a ladies event at our church this weekend and I’m making seven dozen cupcakes for it and teaching a workshop. Praying the kids don’t get worse with their sickness (there’s so much going around this time of year!) and that they don’t share any germs haha. We are hanging out tonight and letting them rest up. I am starting buttercream for the cupcakes and will be doing lots of baking tomorrow!

A few notes and thoughts and favorite to end the post:

  • I’m proud of Sadie for working hard with her schoolwork even when she is sniffling and tired.
  • Starting to think of Christmas and winter-themed Oreos for my Etsy shop!
  • As long as the kids are healthy, we will be rollerblading during trick-or-treat time on Halloween.
  • Sadie is obsessed with this Usborne fairytale story book. Does anyone else think fairytales are weird?!
  • I was pushing the kids in our double stroller and a person in our neighborhood saw me and said “Are you done having kids yet?” I showed him my stomach and was like “Does it look like we’re done?!” 😂
  • I think we’re going to move Sadie’s room around this weekend to see if we can fit a crib in there 🤞🏻
  • Thanksgiving is in 29 days?! I can’t wait!
  • I can wait for Daylight Savings Time, though 🥴
  • I’ve been having slow mornings with the kids where we make pancakes or scrambled eggs and both kids love learning to cook and help. Cherishing these moments!

  2. your lasagna was BOMB! Thanks for sharing with me!
I’m also looking forward to Thanksgiving – it will be fun having family here at our home this year, and watching the cousins play and laugh, as we eat and enjoy each others company. We have A LOT to be thankful for, that’s for sure.
playing pretty pretty princess was so much fun (and I still cheat to let kids win- like I did when you were younger 😂 mom habit)

the kids being sick at the same time was so pitiful 🥹 I guess it’s better than back to back weeks of sicknesses.
    love you,

    madre

    1. Definitely so excited for Thanksgiving! And LOL to you always letting the kids win. You’re so competitive but not with them!

I’m so thankful for your help when they were sick! You are the very best. Love you!
