Life Lately in Photos

Life lately has been filled to the brim with a little bit of everything! I was just poking through my camera roll and decided to share pictures of everything going on.

We took the kids to Cabela’s! It’s a big hunting and fishing store in West Virginia. It’s about 45 minutes from our house, so we made a little evening of it and the kids loved seeing the aquarium.

We had to keep Mordecai in the shopping cart the whole time because we got about 15 minutes from Cabela’s when we realized we forgot his shoes 🤣

Unfortunately, I’ve had to sleep with an ice pack and cortisone every night for the past week or so. I developed the strangest rash on my arm and ended up at urgent care and was diagnosed with cellulitis and tested for Lyme disease 😵‍💫 I’ll share a full update in one of my upcoming pregnancy diary posts but it has been an ordeal! Praying it heals up soon because I’ve been struggling!

Happy Birthday Oreos

Etsy has been steadily busy lately! Happy Birthday Oreos have been popular, but I’ve also been getting more granola orders. Makes me so happy! The calendar turned to September and I started getting a lot of gingerbread granola orders and I’m like yup, that’s my kind of person ordering gingerbread granola in September 😬

Ocean sensory bin

I made the kids ocean-themed sensory bins! I love how long these keep the kids interest. I (hesitantly) added little containers of slime and those were such a hit. Yay!

I told Sadie that I would work on my handwriting while she works on hers while we do school and she thought that was cool! So now, when she does her handwriting lesson each day I sit next to her and write out scripture.

I loved this quote from the Bible study I’ve been doing on the Lord’s Prayer. The quote was reflecting on asking God for our daily bread, as quoted in Matthew 6:11. God gives us our daily physical sustenance, but He also offers spiritual sustenance that will last us forever.

There you have it! Some photos of life lately 🙂

What would photos of your life lately look like?

  1. I hear you on the handwriting. Grace has a good clear style of writing. Rachel, however, takes after me (could be English written in cursive; could also be Arabic or Pitman’s Shorthand)!

    1. Hahha, you’re cracking me up!! Isn’t it crazy how everyone has their own style of handwriting? Jimmy ONLY writes in capital letters, which is so weird to me. I asked him to write me a sentence in lowercase letters and I couldn’t recognize his handwriting as “his”! It was so weird!

  2. my photos are normally of pets or grandchildren. While in the outer banks I also take a ton of pics of the ocean, pelicans, the Avalon pier and seagulls. Very random, but fun to look back on and reminisce.
