Half a year with Mordecai. Already! How. I feel like he was just born. Here we are, six months later.

He’s definitely a baby now, not an infant, if that make sense. He has his own personality and is very aware of everything around him. He is becoming more fun every single day! Here’s how Mordecai is doing as a six-month-old.

Growth 16 lbs 15.5 oz (39th%), 25 inches (3rd%), and 46 cm head circumference (99th%).

Wearing 9 and 12 month clothes and size 3 diapers.

Eating Mom’s milk and baby food. We’ve tried lots of new foods with him and he seems to enjoy most of them, especially orange veggies like carrots, butternut squash, and sweet potatoes as well as any fruit.

Personality Happy and sweet. He goes with the flow and is a pretty chill guy! He’s a little shy, but always warms up to new people quickly.

Nicknames Decky. Sadie almost exclusively calls him Decky Boy and we sometimes refer to him as Deckster.

Sleeping He goes to bed around 8 PM and wakes up multiple times during the night to eat but then goes right back to sleep. In the day, he takes around three naps ranging from 30 minutes to 2 hours.

He wears a sleep sack to bed, sucks his thumb, and sleeps on his side.

Looks like Me and sometimes Sadie as a baby. His hair is blonde and has a little tuft on top. His eyes are blue and his skin is pretty fair.

New skills Rolling over, babbling, shaking his head to music, recognizing familiar people, making happy screaming noises, grabbing anything in sight, holding toys, starting to sit up, and eating baby food.

Likes His absolute favorite thing/person in the entire world is Sadie. If she’s in the room, his full attention is on her and she can always make him laugh and smile. He also enjoys being outside, sucking his thumb, looking in mirrors, being held and snuggled, his play mat, jumping in his bouncer, and baths.

Dislikes Being set down, bottles, pacifiers, getting strapped into his carseat, and clothes going over his head.

Favorite products Bumbo floor seat, piano play mat, body wash, foldable bath, sound machine, sleep sack, and bouncer.
