Hi and happy Monday! I have a busy week on deck, so I’m checking in today to say hello and share all the random things from my life lately 😊
Okay, first of all, what do you think of the blue paint sample on the wall? Jimmy grabbed some paint for a statement wall and put some on the wall to see what we think. I am digging it!
Also, peek our new kitchen table! It seats six people and we are loving it. We had a Bible study at our house on Friday and it was wonderful to have space for people to sit!
Speaking of the Bible study, Jimmy and I signed up to host a series of Friday night Bible studies in our home for the next few weeks and it has already proved to be such a blessing. We’re enjoying studying the lesson in preparation, having a meal with our Christian family, and talking about God’s Word ❤️
Oh, and look at the above picture! Jimmy is cooking. Swoon! We had a Hello Fresh meal delivered and he cooked it for me. Totally made my day.
If you live with your spouse, who does the cooking? I’m always interested in hearing about the dynamics in families with cooking duties!
Also, speaking of cooking, I tried my hand at making homemade sushi for the first time. It was a fail because I had the wrong rice. I picked up sticky rice today, so I will be trying again soon! Do you like sushi? I am a big fan 😬
Now onto the cute things. Like a pile of packaging from our kitchen table 😂
Sadie was so into playing with the packaging, drawing on it, and building a house. She stayed up late playing and then the first thing she asked for in the morning was if her “house” was still there.
The next cute thing: Jimmy sleeping with Sadie’s stuffed cat. He fell asleep on the couch and had no idea she put her stuffy on him. I thought it was adorable 🥰
Last but not least for cuteness is Sadie in her new butterfly dress! Thrift shopping for the win 🙌

I’ve only had sushi once, but I absolutely loved it. I need to try it again sometime soon. Ha, ha.
And I do alllll the cooking. Nate would legit take 2 hours just to put together a garden salad. Ha, ha! He is SO lost in the kitchen! Randomly, he does know how to make an amazing macaroni and cheese, but that’s it. I don’t mind though, because I love to cook… and he loves to eat my cooking. 🙂

I am not a fan of sushi- at all. I don’t know why I never jumped on the sushi bandwagon, but I just don’t like it. Steamed shrimp from Awful Arthurs- that’s what I’m talkin’ about.
I definitely so 99.9% of the cooking in our house (as you know). I know the amazing feeling though- when Dad does make us a meal- it’s the best!!!
