There has been some major couch hopping going on at our house this week. There has been a stomach bug going around our church family lately and this week was our turn to get it.
Poor Sadie was absolutely pitiful on Tuesday. She pretty much laid on the couch all day, had a fever, and didn’t eat for a few days. Thankfully she didn’t do any throwing up. She is just starting to get her appetite back and it’s such a relief to see her act more like herself again!
Thursday night was my night to get sick and it reminded me of our stomach flu saga in 2019, haha. I laid around all day on Friday and just switched from couch to couch for each nap 😆
Sadie was a good snuggle buddy and we watched Snow Dogs and season 14 of Paw Patrol, LOL. Thankfully Jimmy was off work on Friday for Good Friday and was such a huge help with Sadie!
I felt awful that he spent his day off of work bumming around the house with us, but he was a good sport about it. In between naps I would hear him and Sadie laughing and playing and it made me smile 😊
Poor Jimmy got sick this morning and is in bed as I type up this post. I feel so bad because I know exactly how he feels. Blah 😔 Praying we have no trips to the emergency room this go round with the stomach flu.
As much as it stinks to be sick, I’m glad Jimmy and I caught the bug in shifts so that we could take turns caring for Sadie and the pets because I don’t know how we would have survived otherwise!
I hope everyone has a great Resurrection Sunday tomorrow! Hopefully I will be back soon and can report that we are all healthy and doing great!

That stomach bug really put a damper on everyone’s Easter plans, that’s for sure. I’m so sorry you all ended up suffering through it! It was short but mighty~ for lack of better words.
