It’s the most wonderful time of the year: gardening season!
We planted our annual garden on May 21st. This year, I started a few plants from seeds and transplanted them to the garden. The rest we bought at Lowes and planted as seedlings.
What’s in the garden this year:
- Cherry and yellow tomatoes
- Swiss chard
- Microgreens x2
- Arugula
- Green bell peppers
- Romaine lettuce
- Strawberries
- Watermelon
- Yellow squash x2
- Zucchini x2
- Cucumber x2
This is our first year planting watermelon and strawberries, so it will be fun to see how they turn out! I’ll do another update once we harvest our first fruits/veggies!
Garden is looking good can’t wait for some watermelon and strawberry’s!
Love 💕 You
Dad
Thanks! Can’t wait to share! I love you! ❤
Wow, you’re such a farmer, I LOVE it!!! We hope to plant raised beds next year (but this year our focus has kind of been yard work that desperately needed to get done). That being said, we did plant flowers from seeds, and they’re doing great. We have two cherry tomato plants, scallions, and basil growing in pots on our back porch. I actually used the scallions in a potato salad tonight for dinner, and I felt SO proud picking herbs from my little garden. Ha, ha!! 🙂 I love gardening, and I can’t wait to see pictures of yours as it grows!
Haha, thank you, Nicole! That is a huge compliment to me too be called a farmer!! I can’t wait to see how your raised beds come out next year! It’s definitely smart to get the yard work done first and then next year you can have all the fun with your garden without worrying about juggling that with tons of yard work! Yay for gradening in pots in the meantime 🙂
So many plants!! I love that you guys are so diligent with this!
Probably way more plants than we can handle but I just love it!
