The title of this post pretty much sums up our Memorial Day weekend! We busted out of quarantine with a bang. Pittsburgh is currently in the “yellow phase” of reopening and it was wonderful to be able to see friends and family all weekend.
What we were up to over the weekend:
- Our friend who now lives in Wisconsin came over
- Attended two first birthday parties for my nieces
- Hung out with my cousins from New York who came down for the weekend
- Watched church online on Sunday
- Celebrated my brother-in-law and Jimmy’s birthday
- Played in our sprinkler with Sadie
- I gave Jimmy a haircut
- Jimmy and I had a fire in our fire pit
We were quite the busy bees this weekend. It was so strange/tough/great to go from not really doing anything or seeing anyone to doing something each day and seeing a bunch of people all at once. Has anyone else experienced that? We’re definitely living in strange times!
Okay, how about some photos?
Looks like you had a great and busy weekend! This weekend was low key since it’s still pretty locked down at my parents house in Chicago. We did spend a ton of time outside which was wonderful since the original forecast sad thunderstorms all weekend.
That’s just how I would describe it… great and busy! I’m glad you were able to get outside over the weekend!
Great pics and great times! Thank you for sharing!
Thanks for reading! I love you!
What a weekend of celebrations! Sounds busy and fun.
It was quite the celebratory weekend! That’s exactly how I would describe it, too… busy and fun!
Aw, all of your pictures are amazing!!
I did basically all of the same things you did this weekend (except the sprinkler 😂) but I totally would have!!
Love you beautiful mama.
Madre
Thanks! I had such a great weekend and it was so nice to spend time with you guys! Love you!
Ah, so much time with loved ones!! I love this! And I’m so glad you guys had so much fun being together and celebrating! We saw my parents yesterday for the first time in three months and for a brief moment I was able to forget that we were living in a pandemic. Definitely strange times!
It was such a nice change up from being in quarantine for so long! I bet seeing your parents for even just a moment or two was so, so wonderful!
