Snapshots From the Outer Banks Part II

As promised, I have a few more pictures and details from our trip to the Outer Banks earlier this month!

Husband and wife with baby girl in Outer Banks

We stayed from a Wednesday to a Monday and were able to squeeze in a lot of fun. My dad and Jimmy went fishing off of the Avalon Fishing Pier and caught ten skate, we all went shopping (Sadie made out really well and got spoiled with a stuffed animal from her Pap Pap and lots of clothes from Grandma!), visited Jeanette’s Pier, Jimmy got a haircut, and I got a pedicure! It was downright luxurious 🙂

We went out to eat for dinner each night, which was such a treat. Sadie was just starting solids, so she enjoyed lots of shrimp, bread, and veggies. My mom also fed her gourmet breakfasts (pancakes, eggs, fruit, etc.!) each morning, which was adorable. We also visited our home away from home church, Son Rise Church of Christ, on Palm Sunday and it was great!

It was truly such a wonderful, relaxing, and fun trip. We felt so incredibly blessed to spend time as a family with my parents and can’t wait to do it all again in the future!

Where is your favorite place to vacation?

  1. OBX is definitely my favorite place ♥️ I’m looking forward to creating so many memories with Sadie and our future grandchildren 🏖 🎣
I love the pic of you 3 in front of Awful Arthur’s

    1. Same! It’s so peaceful there! I can’t wait to go back with everyone again! That is one of my favorite pictures! Such a great memory from that night! ❤

  2. That’s SO great that you were able to get away like that! My cousin owns a cabin in Maine, and she graciously is letting my family stay there over the summer for a few nights. So I’m preparing to bring Kaitlyn on her first-ever vacay. (Brady shouldn’t be too difficult at this point). Any travel tips? 🙂 Kaitlyn has never slept outside of her crib, so we’ll see how the nights go! Ha, ha. 🙂

    1. It was wonderful to get away and just relax! I hope your time away in Maine is amazing! How awesome that your cousin is letting your family stay in the cabin!!

Travel tips… we brought a pack n play for sleep and she did well! We also brought lots of toys and books in the car!

      1. Good to know!!! We plan to bring a pack n play as well, so hopefully it will work just as well for us! 🙂 And YES, good idea to bring books and toys for the car ride!!

  3. I’m glad you all had such a relaxing time, and the pics are gorgeous. The top one with the three of you is one to treasure. And the last one made me smile — it looks so beachy and summery. 🙂

    1. Thank you, Grace! It was just so lovely to get away and relax in such a beautiful place!

The top picture is one of my favorites, too!! It makes me happy just looking at it 🙂

  4. I know I said this last time, but it sounds like such a wonderful vacation!! Those vacations where you just go to relax and do whatever you want to are the best! Sounds like such a great break away from the norm. I’m so glad you guys got to go and get refreshed!
