Hey! Well, Jimmy and I are finally starting to feel better since our sick daze last week. Yay! I ended up at the doctor earlier this week and was diagnosed with a sinus infection.
I had a feeling that would be the case, as similar to last time I had a sinus infection, my teeth hurt every time I did anything that would shake my body or head (apparently, your sinuses can press on your oral cavity if they’re swollen…lol). Thankfully, I was able to get some antibiotics and am on the mend.
Jimmy and I were talking about how thankful we are that we live in a country where we can simply go to the doctor and get medicine. From the time I went to the doctor to when I was taking my first dose of antibiotics was only a few hours. What a blessing.
I’ve been spending the week working (pet sitting and real estate work/photography) and wedding cake baking! Surprisingly, I don’t have a lot of pictures from the week. I have one from pet sitting and one from Starbucks.
It turns out Starbucks has pretty tasty smoothies! The one I had was chocolate and banana flavored.
While I didn’t take a lot of pictures, I did film two vlogs. In one week! Crazy.
The first one was completely random. I was a total sick zombie and had awkward encounters with the people who replaced our gutters. I’m so glad we had our gutters and fascia replaced! It makes such a difference in the look of our house 🙂
I filmed the wedding cake baking vlog on Thursday, and was starting to feel better and less zombie-ish. I’m getting nervous for the big baking day!
Well, I’m going to get going. I have a busy weekend ahead! I’m excited for Saturday because I’m going to a ladies lunch at our church. It’s always such a fun time of fellowship and great food.
I’m glad to hear both you and Jimmy are getting better. Also so glad you can safely take antibiotics while pregnant! You can’t take Nyquil but at least antibiotics will work! I can’t wait to see how the cake turns out!
Tomorrow, I don’t have anything that exciting on the agenda but on Sunday I have my half marathon in the morning. I’m excited but nervous for it!
Thank you! I am so glad, too! Antibiotics for the win 🙂
I can’t wait to catch up on your blog and read about how your half went!
Hi Sweetie, love the videos! Choc/banana smoothie sounds good!
Thanks for sharing.
Love you, Dad! Nice time you go to Sbux, you should get the smoothie! It’s delish 🙂
Starbucks has smoothies? I never knew!
Glad you’re feeling better. Hope you have a great weekend!
Amy, you NEED to try the chocolate banana smoothie!! Ha, ha. It is sooooooo GOOD!!!! 🙂
Seriously! I remmeber they used to be on the menu in stores and was craving one but didn’t see it on the menu when I went. I asked if they had them and they did! Win! I wonder why they don’t advertise them, though.
Aw, I love both of your vlogs!! Your cake will be perfect~ Please don’t be nervous about it! I’m glad you’re feeling better, as I know sinus infections can be so painful and annoying. Thank you for going to the Dr and getting an antibiotic!! I think it’s hilarious you two ended up in a pet store 🤣 ~ but I’m not surprised. It’s so adorable how Mavis just loves Lola so much~ they remind me of Brandy and Reggie!
Love you beautiful girl~
Thanks for the encouragement on the cake and for watching my vlogs! Also, yay for antibiotics! And can you guess who dragged who into the pet store?! 😉
Love you! ❤
I love the Vlogs… it’s neat to actually hear you for the first time ever. I love the music to it and how the cat came out in the closet. You actually don’t sound so bad for the sinus infection. And you’re tired because you’ve been sick and you’re preggers!
Yay! I am so glad you like the vlogs! And oh my, our cat. He is always hiding somewhere!! We have accidentally locked him in our linen closet overnight! He didn’t make a peep, so I think he liked it?! Crazy boy 🙂
I like your explanation of why I’m sick and tired… makes sense LOL!!
LOVE your vlogs! It makes me miss the midwest though. You & Jimmy are so darn cute together. Also, you are so good with the animals. Your patience is amazing! Haha. I don’t know how you do it all! you do everything with such grace. I admire you tons, Allie! You are a role model of mine. XO
Thank you so much Mackenzie! That means a lot to me! They’re so much fun to put together and look back on later!
I don’t always feel patient with the animals, but man do they teach me a lot! Your comment made my week! Love you! ❤
Aw of course girlfriend, love youuuu! ❤
Glad you’re feeling better! I didn’t know Starbucks makes smoothies now!
Thank you, P!! I guess so! I think they have the chocolate banana one and a strawberry one 🙂
I’m so glad you are starting to feel better! Being sick while pregnant is so tough! And look at you filming a vlog when you didn’t feel good. I would have been curled up on the couch being pitiful. 😉
Ikea! I love going through there. So many good ideas. Seeing that nursery piece makes me excited to see your nursery as you start working on it! I can’t believe you didn’t have any luck at HomeGoods! I don’t think I’ve ever not found something when I go in there, haha!
Look how cute your closet is! I love all the organization in there!
A cake leveler! That’s what I need! I wonder if someone I know has one that I could borrow this summer… Also, I loved your “ta-da” moment! 🙂 Your whole cake video was really helpful to me. I did a crumb coat last time I did a cake, but I didn’t think to refrigerate it for an hour before finishing frosting it. I’ll try that next time!
That coffee bean body scrub sounds great! Does it smell wonderful? I need to check that out. 🙂
Thankfully I am feeling much better! YAY! Filming the vlog was fun, so I think it got my mind off of being sick for the time being!
Ikea really is so cool! I am starting to get so pumped to design the nursery! If you have any advice or tips, send them my way!
I can absolutely lend you our cake lever if you’d like?! Let me know and I’ll ship it out once I’m done with it in May! I’m so glad the video helped with the crumb coat!
The coffee bean scrub smells divine!
