The next ten

Hey and happy Sunday! I hope everyone has had a good weekend so far. I’m so glad it’s Sunday because Pittsburgh is supposed to see the sun today. Does that seem weird?! I feel like I haven’t seen the sun in a week, and it’s been raining for the past couple of days. Rain isn’t so bad (rain boots!), but I do like seeing the sun every once in a while πŸ˜‰

I wanted to post today about the next ten pictures in the photo-a-day challenge I’m doing, so here they are!

Photo a day

11. Makes you happy

11

Baking. Always.

12. Inside your closet

12

Jimmy and I share a wardrobe that we bought from Ikea because the closets in our house are minuscule, haha.

13. BlueΒ

13

One of my favorite pens. I like super inky pens. Is anyone else extra particular about their writing utensils?

14. Heart

14

Heart necklace from an ex-boyfriend. Yep, I kept it.

15. Phone

15

My phone hanging out in the grass. Jimmy gave me his old phone cover when get bought a new phone and I really like it. It’s nice and sturdy.

16. Something new

16

A Vera Bradley oven mitt. A friend from church gave this to me because she had too many oven mitts. She said she remembered that my favorite color is yellow (it is, indeed), and that I like to bake (very true as well!).

17. Time

17

2:29 PM according to our coffee maker.

18. Drink

18

Coffee.

19. Something you hate to do

19

Load the dishwasher, though I recognize I am very blessed to have a dishwasher to load!

20. Handwriting

20

That’sΒ it!

Alright, I better start getting ready for church!

What’s something you hate to do?
What makes you happy?

  1. I love your new oven mit :). We have a dishwasher but always do ours by hand. It just uses a lot of water and power and we’re pretty conservative on things like that, but we never really have anyone over for meals (when we did, we would use the dishwasher!)

    1. Thanks, Amy!! I always do wonder about the cost of a dishwasher on our energy bills. I think about that with washing/drying clothes, too! I try to dry a lot of our clothes on a drying rack, and then outside in the summer!

  2. “Is anyone else extra particular about their writing utensils?”

YES. I prefer pens, and super inky ones as well! I only ever use pencils if I know I’m going to do a lot of erasing (written exams -.- )

  3. I hate doing my own dishes and cooking too often. I lose the passion and joy if I bake or cook too much. My food loses the love I put into it and nothing tastes good then!
Things that make me happy are new electronics, slow runs, hummus, Twitter and actually having pleasant conversations with my sister πŸ™‚

  4. oh gosh, seeing the sun is so important. i grew up in phoenix where it’s a given, and then i learned how important it was in chicago. luckily for me, minneapolis gets too cold for clouds to form, and so our winters are gloriously sunny!

    1. Agreed!! I need my vitamin D, haha!! I can’t imagine going from Phoenix to Chicago. That must have been rough! But I’m sure you handled it well since you have such a positive and sunny (pun intended!) attitude! How neat that Minneapolis gets SUNNY winters. That makes the cold not-so-bad at all πŸ™‚

    1. Thanks, Amy!! Can’t go wrong with Vera Bradley or Ikea!! The wardrobe cost us an arm and a leg, buuut it was so worth it. We both love it, and it has a TON of space! Good investment fo sho πŸ™‚

  5. I loathe unloading the dishwasher and folding laundry.

You and I share the same affinity for baking! I just love it so much. I was considering opening up a local bake shop out of my house…but have no idea how to start!

    1. I don’t mind folding laundry, but when it comes to putting it away… ugh! I’m so lazy about it, haha. I’ll let it sit, folded, for days before I put it away. I actually have towels sitting in my basement right now that are all folded and just need to be put away. Oh well. I’ll get to it πŸ˜‰

YES to baking. You would be amazing at starting up your own bake shop! You’re such a hard worker!

  6. Umm your closet is impeccable!! I love the photo-a-day challenge, they always help me appreciate my life and look at things from a different angle πŸ™‚

    1. Aww, thanks!! I am a freak about my closet… like everything is color coordinated and in order of sleeve length within each color. YIKES!! And amen to photo-a-day challenges! They always get my creative juices flowing! Hope all is well with you! πŸ™‚
