I feel like I’ve been promising wedding pictures and a recap forever. I’m not really sure how to organize all of the pictures with what happened and what I want to say, but I’ll try my best!
If wedding recaps bore you (I always thought I would never do one!), feel free to skip out on these… I think they’re more for Jimmy and I to be able to look back on than anything, haha. Anyways, here we go!
I woke up on the day of mine and Jimmy’s wedding totally and 100% excited. I can honestly say I wasn’t nervous for our wedding at all. I got up bright and early to read my Bible, drink some coffee, and eat breakfast before the day got too busy. I also helped my parents get their house ready for all of the people that were going to be in it that day.
All of my bridesmaids except my sister-in-law got ready at my house. We had my neighbor and her friend do everyone’s hair, and we also had a makeup artist! My mom insisted on having a limo for the big day (I’m glad she did!) so that everyone could ride in one vehicle on the way to and from the ceremony, pictures, etc., so a limo picked us up around noon and we headed to the church for some pictures before the ceremony started.
I just wore my hair down and curly, had simple makeup, and wore sandals to make things easy on my life. My mom got false eyelashes and she told me she was seriously sad when they came out a few days later, haha.
My bridesmaids all wore their hair however they wanted and wore sandals, too. We were laughing so hard in these pictures because the photographer told us to sniff our flowers and we were all looking at each other over our flowers awkwardly. Good times :).
Hannah also said a beautiful prayer for us before we all walked down the aisle. It was such a special moment!
Jimmy and his momma. I love my mother-in-law!
The weather was wonderful for pictures. It was in the low 70s and a little bit cloudy.
I still have a million more pictures from before the ceremony–including first look pictures–but this post is getting kind of long, so I’ll post more soon :).
You are seriously gorgeous. As is Hannah, and your momma! What good genes you have 🙂 Love the pictures in the city! Can’t wait to see more 🙂 P.S. I think I spy the doubletree! haha
Aww, thank you so much, Nikki!! You definitely see the Doubletree in the distance! Probably brings back good memories for you 😉
Ahhh!!!! I’ve been waiting and waiting for wedding recap and more photos!!! Yay! You look gorgeous, your bridesmaids and mama and mama-in-law look gorgeous, the gentlemen all look handsome. And there is just so. much. happiness. So fun to see and read about. 🙂
Yay! The pictures are HERE! Thank you so much! You’re right… so much happiness that day, and still today. I’m still on “Cloud Nine” from the wedding 🙂
Ahh, tears! I love this! Girl, I love wedding recaps so bring it on! 🙂 These photos are so beautiful and you are such a gorgeous bride!
I’m glad you like wedding recaps! They’re definitely so much fun for me to read, too because there is just so much happiness!
Your wedding looks so beautiful. I love that you kept things simple and everything got to pick out their hairstyles, etc. And I do agree that a limo would be a good idea, that way no one has to worry about driving and you all arrive at the same time, no traffic issue or car problems for someone, etc. Plus, I’m glad the weather was good, it made for beautiful pictures.
I can’t wait to read more of the recap.
Thank you so much, Amy! Simple was definitely the way to go for me because I wanted the focus to be on us getting married, not the small details! The limo was such an amazing idea and saved us a lot of time and stress! I was SO happy the weather was literally perfect–you just never know what you’re going to get with the weather in Pittsburgh, haha.
I can’t even begin to tell you how beautiful you look Allie. Absolutely gorgeous.
