Hello all! Sunday was a lovely day. Jimmy and I went to the Pittsburgh Renaissance Festival! Basically it is a big celebration of the 16th century. All of the workers dress up and some of the people who go dress up as well! Jousting, turkey legs, axe throwing, glass blowing and much more makes for a fun time. Here are some pictures I took…
I look a picture of the trees while I watched a guy break a world record.. For eating fire. True life.
a random duck! You were allowed to take pictures with them on your lap.
and finally, a large iced soy vanilla latte to round out the day and quench my thirst 🙂
Have you ever been to a ren fest or anything like it?!
hmm never been to anything like this before but it seems kind of cool! Kind of reminds me of medieval times! haha
Wow I have never seen something like this! But I’m sure I would love it… medieval stuff is the best 🙂
Looks like you guys had fun… I don’t think we have anything like that here, I’ve never been to one or really heard of them.
I always used to want to go to a renaissance festival! That one looks like campy greatness. The closest I’ve been to one is the renaissance festival we had in my middle school 🙂
I have never been to one of these! Looks like fun, though.
Yes, I’ve been to Renaissance Festival once when I was back in college. I remember it was unique and your pictures reminded me some of the things I saw…but mostly forgot! I think it’s more fun knowing the background etc. Sounds like you two had great time tho! 🙂
Ren fests are surprisingly so fun! The weather looks so perfect to hang out outside all day too, lucky girl!
Thanks for the pictures, it looks like a lot of fun! I have never been to such an event, but I always enjoy reading about it, it seems like my kind of thing 🙂
I went once as a kid, it was fun!
FUN. I love ren fests. And ducks in chairs.
We have a ren. festival every year here in MN, but I’ve actually never gone! It sounds like you had a really fun day with your man! And YES for iced coffee! I still plan on drinking these through the winter…haha. How is school going?!
