Sweet summertime

Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. Philippians 4:6

I love having time to do leisurely activities.

Like painting my nails…

and reading a book…

in the pool! (FYI: I don’t paint my nails in my pool haha.. that would be strange.)

This weekend was a bit of a foodie weekend. Jim and I ate and shopped a little at Market District!Β The hot foods bar there slightly resembles Whole Foods, but it also has a dessert bar, a crepe station, a pasta station, a sushi station, an Indian food station, a pizza station, a coffee bar, a smoothie bar, and a deli station.

Yumster.

We also purchased food to make personal pizza’s for dinner! We picked pizza because Jimmy’s brother isn’t into ‘foodie foods’ like I am haha. (I totally wanted to make spaghetti squash!!)

(Salad w/ cukes from my garden!)

Cheesey weezy pizzaaaaaa πŸ˜€

Funny story.. you should have seen my whole outfit Saturday.

I wore a dress because it was hot out and I love wearing dresses. My heel still hurt so I wore yellow converse instead of flip flops.

2 people in Market District told Jim and I that our shoes matched and we were a handsome couple. I think we were being mocked!

  1. Nail painting in the pool while reading would be some major skills haha!
That market district place sounds awesome! And your pizza looks delicious πŸ™‚ Ahh I’m so excited for your new college adventures, you’re gonna have fun!

  2. Love your nails :). I’ve never thought of painting mine something cool like that. Lately I stick with pearly pastels or just plain pink. But I like the green!

Good luck getting everything ready for college!

  3. OMG! You are going to looooooveeeee school. I am so excited for you! Almost as if I was going to school! University is AMAZING not just for learning but for personal growth! Hope you still have time to blog

  4. You are leaving for school in 2 weeks? Holy schmee!!! Woah. I leave in 4. Maybe 3…I don’t know yet. HA.

Dresses are the bomb.com. Clearly. Ooh and I paint my nails at the pool. Not in the pool…but I might be inclined if it continues to get too hot. HA.

  5. Why not paint your nails in the pool? Oh wait, it would probably wash off… haha didn’t think that one through!
I love how you wore converse with that dress. I did that at the end of the school year when I wasn’t allowed to wear flip flops. I looked a bit silly, but I figured people would figure it out when they saw the way I walked — err limped.

  6. Going back over your last post (7 links), I found your best friend post–glad to see I’m not the only blogger giving best friends much-deserved love πŸ™‚ And that nailpolish color is FABULOUS! I love painting my nails as well, they are currently a pretty amazing bright blue color. And I hope you’re EXCITED for school! (Even if it means slightly less free time for pools…)

  7. I really like Lunch in Paris, it is a funny book! And your nail polish looks great, I love green colour, but I have never had green nails when I think about it… πŸ™‚

  8. That book… i have to get it, already can say that I will love it. Dress with shoe.. i do that all the time and look silly .. but heels hurts my toes and comfort is my first priority πŸ™‚

  9. I soooo needed to read that verse today. Thanks so much!! I’ll leave one for you (one of my favorites). Isaiah 40:31.
