It’s April. What a lovely month! Here’s what’s currently going on in my life this month.
Current book Just finished up reading about all things baby-led weaning, which was interesting. Still reading this devotional book for the mom’s group I’m co-leading, and just started re-reading this book that I enjoyed a lot last year.
Current joy Birds! We have a bird feeder just outside our kitchen window and I finally bought some seed to fill it with. I’m enjoying seeing birds at the feeder each day. Cardinals are my favorite. We also have a hummingbird feeder that I need to fill with nectar, too.
Current app Peanut. The best way I can describe it is that it’s like Tinder for meeting moms. I got “matched” with a mom that lives in my neighborhood and we’re hoping to meet up with our babies soon!
Current tv show Deliver Me. I have no idea how I got into a random birth-related show that was filmed in 2008-2011, but I’m diggin’ it.
Current obsession Dark chocolate.
Current goal I want to vacuum and wash our car on a monthly basis. We’ll see how I do on this one 😉
Current craving I’d love to visit the Pittsburgh Zoo soon. I think Sadie would enjoy it as well!
Current food Pancakes. I was told Kodiak Cakes are delicious, so I picked up a box of the oat and honey mix and they did not disappoint! And yes, I ate them while standing at the counter 🙂
Current blessing The joy of spring and all the exciting things coming up. My sister and sister-in-law are expecting their daughters next month, we’re beginning to plan our garden, and just enjoying more daylight and warmer weather!
Current excitement We’re traveling this month! This will be Sadie’s first big trip and I’m equal parts excited and nervous. Fellow parents, any tips on long road trips with babies?!
Current cuteness Sadie in a Carhartt shirt! Jimmy wears a lot of Carhartt gear at work, so we thought it would be cute to get her a tool belt t-shirt so she can dress like her dad.
Current beauty product I’ve been using Sun Bum shampoo and conditioner lately and it smells just like their sunblock. Strange? Maybe, but I really like the smell of sunblock.
Current drink I’ve been having a glass of apple juice almost every day lately. Random, but delicious.
Current fun Family nights at home. It’s so nice to have a few nights each week where we have nothing on the agenda and can just relax as a family.
