Welcome back to another Aldi grocery haul! There’s just something so fun about seeing what’s in someone else’s cart, so I thought I’d share everything we picked up this week.
Whether you’re looking for meal inspiration, grocery budgeting ideas, or you’re just as nosy as I am when it comes to grocery hauls, I hope you enjoy taking a peek inside! 😉
This week’s haul was all about picking up our staples, a few snacks, and ingredients for a dinner I’m planning to make soon. Alright, let’s get into it!
Refrigerated Items 🥛
Half & Half – $2.49
We always seem to need half and half since we’re big coffee drinkers around here.
Almond Milk – $2.29
I use this for my nightly bowl of cereal.
Shredded Mozzarella Cheese – $3.29
I use this in egg wraps, on pizzas, and will be using some in a recipe for manicotti I plan to make soon.
Whole Milk – $5.17
Sadie and Mordecai use this for hot cocoa each morning and a bowl of cereal each night.
Orange Juice – $3.75
This is Sadie and Jimmy’s drink of choice, and we go through it so quickly! I probably should have bought two of these.
Cedar Plank Salmon – $8.85
I could eat happily eat salmon every single day.
Hot Dogs – $0.99
All three of our kids enjoy hot dogs, so these are an easy lunch or dinner.
Sliced Muenster Cheese – $1.49
I use this cheese in Jimmy’s lunch sandwiches.
Mushrooms – $1.29
I like to roast these with balsamic vinegar for an easy vegetable side dish.
Chobani Flip Yogurt – $1.58
This was an impulse buy for Mordecai! I asked if he wanted yogurt while we were shopping, and this was the one he chose.
Snacks 🍪
Peanut butter crackers – $2.85
The kids love to snack on these.
Vanilla wafers – $2.89
Another snack all three kids like!
Chocolate sandwich cookies – $2.49
I plan to use these to practice chocolate covered Oreos for my baking business.
Vanilla sandwich cookies – $2.75
I grabbed these for more Oreo decorating practice, too!
Pantry Staples 🍚
Crunchy peanut butter – $1.99
Am I the only person in the world who likes crunchy peanut butter? Maybe. But at least I don’t have to share the jar with anyone in my family. 😜
Macaroni and cheese x2 – $0.59 each
Once again, an inexpensive staple that all of our kids will eat!
Microwaveable rice – $1.29
This is my “emergency” side dish whenever dinner needs to come together quickly. I always like to keep one in the pantry.
Croutons – $1.15
I put croutons on Jimmy’s salads every night. Dakota also likes to munch on them like a little hamster.
Pasta sauce – $2.99
This was for the manicotti recipe I’m going to make soon. I was bummed Aldi didn’t have manicotti pasta. I’ll have to make a Walmart run!
Gallon freezer bags – $2.99
I store so many things in our freezer in gallon bags—cookies, lunch sandwiches, leftovers, and more. I needed a restock on these.
Grand Total: $53.76
Just over $53 isn’t bad for another week of stocking up on plenty of snacks, a few pantry essentials, a few items I need for upcoming dinners, plus my beloved salmon. 😉
