I feel like I have a million pictures to share from life lately! We’ve been up to all sorts of fun (some of which I’ve detailed in my last post), so today’s post will be heavy on the pictures and (fairly) light on words. Kinda like a scrapbook! Okay, let’s get into it 😊
Mordecai wants to do everything Sadie does! She always makes a heart with her hands and he tries so hard to do the same. I love how close they are. Just the other day, I was laying Mordecai down for a nap and he wouldn’t lay down until “sissy” covered him with his blanket and tucked him in. Those types of moments are such a joy and make me so thankful Sadie is homeschooled and they’re both able to be home with me every day.
I love the look of festive packaging when I ship Etsy orders! This was a three pack of granola!
I went to the grocery store one night after Jimmy got home from work and when I came home, Niva and Runah popped right into our garage window to welcome me. Scares me every time!!
There they go trying to make hearts with their hands again!
I had a customer message me on Etsy and ask if I could write “Happy birthday Marvin” on an Oreo, and this was my practice one. I never thought I’d be writing random names on Oreos, but here I am 😂
Our local grocery store had kids carts and oh boy do the kids love that! I brought them in one morning and didn’t even grab a cart for myself. They thought it was so cool to push their own cart and get our groceries! It’s usually tough to take two kids to the store, but this was fun! For the most part, haha. I was definitely on high alert for any crashes from Mordecai. He did really well, though 😊
Shipped out some gluten free brownie mix! My recipe is here if you want to try it yourself. If you don’t eat gluten free, you could always use all purpose flour.
These two were taking their gingerbread house making very seriously! Mordecai’s little furrowed brow cracks me up.
The kids both loved doing this! I’m not sure why they both ended up on the table, though?! Also, see our TV in the background? I love going on YouTube and searching “Christmas ambiance” and pulling up a super long video that just shows a picture and plays Christmas music in the background. Sadie decided to do the same the other day, except she searched “Hamster ambiance” and we had an AI generated picture of a hamster in a sweater playing in snow with Christmas music 😂
One more with the gingerbread house because it was just too cute!
Sadie had another day where we did school at our homeschool room at Jimmy’s work and then she stayed after to work with Jimmy and his sister. She gets to run the beam line and cut lots of steel with their new robot machine! Mordecai and I always miss her when she’s away, but I know it’s good for her to get out and do things on her own.
We had a wild Friday night out recently where we took the kids to a craft store, Barnes and Noble, and a grocery store. They had so much fun! I love seeing their different personalities come out in situations like this. Mordecai’s hat had a bell on it and he was dancing to make it jingle. So cute!
We bought the kids a cookie to split in Barnes and Noble and Mordecai looked like he won the lottery.
This was how they drove home from our little outing! Mordecai was especially excited to be in Jimmy’s truck. Every time we leave the house he asks “Daddy’s truck?”
We don’t “do Santa” with our kids but each year our neighbor comes to our house dressed as Santa and gives the kids gifts. It’s so kind and sweet. I thought Mordecai would be freaked out but her did really well.
Jimmy and Mordecai were standing by the bonfire at our neighborhood’s annual First Night of Lights celebration. Mordecai literally kept his hand in the position the whole night?!
The town’s tree all lit up!
Then we went on a cozy tractor ride around the neighborhood–blankets and all!
The kids put up with me working on Etsy all morning one day this week (sorry Sadie and Decky!), so I took us on a McDonald’s lunch date *inside* the restaurant and Sadie said I was “the best mom ever” because we went inside 😂
Sadie’s drawing of Sonic the Hedgehog. She still loves Sonic so much. And drawing!
Some Christmas sprinkles I special ordered off of Etsy. Jimmy was cracking up at me this week because I called a local candy supply store and asked “Do you sell carrot sprinkles?” and they were like “What???” haha. It’s for a snowman carrot nose!
Sadie is still loving sign language, which makes me so happy! I love practicing with her. We’ve been using this workbook lately and it’s so festive ❄️
Whew, that was a lot of pictures! Thanks for hanging with me if you made it to the bottom of this post. We’re currently driving to Bible study and then tomorrow I’ll be working on orders, doing school with Sadie, and running errands if I have time 😉
I just started this book on influencers and the whole culture of influencing and it’s fascinating!

Always love 💕 the Pics! And your little stories that go with each one are just so precious!
Love ❤️ You
Dad
🙂
Thank you!! Love you so much Pap Pap!
I think what I love most about this post, is the genuine joy of your kids. The most simple task like going inside of McDonald’s is an adventure and it’s a great reminder to find joy anywhere. So sweet.
The pups in the window would make me scream. LOL.
I adore the effort you put into the holiday packaging. It will definitely be noticed by those who buy from you. Also, the carrots. I didn’t notice that’s what they were at first, but I love theeemmm!
Awww, thank you!! I didn’t think about that! They really do know how to stop and appreciate the little things. Even yesterday, we went on a walk and Sadie found litter and Mordecai was like “I wanna see litter!” and it turned into a whole thing… which in the moment felt like c’mon guys! It’s a piece of plastic! But it’s so cute how they stop and notice things. It reminded me of how you used to (or still do?) collect change you find on the ground! I always thought that was so cool and fun that you document that!
The dogs in the window totally made me jump! They’re so wide eyed hahah!
Hahah, those carrots! Trying to find them was the bane of my existence for a second there! Thank you for your sweet words on my packaging! It take effort… but hopefully people enjoy it because I know I love getting a package that’s wrapped nicely!
I absolutely still hunt for change on the ground. LOL. I get very excited over finding even a penny. FREE MONEY!
YESSS! You are the coolest. I always wish we weren’t on different coasts of the U.S. because I want to hang out with you!!
The feeling is mutual friend! 🤣
Awww, YAY!!
Well, I read this post the day you actually posted it, and I apologize I’m just commenting now! What amazing pics!! I love how Decky and Sadie absolutely ADORE each other. Their bond is so special, and I cant wait for baby girl to join them and be the sweetest trio 🙂
Niva and Ru are so funny – manic eyed crazy BFF’s.
I am currently still reading the Kelly Ripa book, and hopefully will finish soon. During the holidays I really struggle with keeping up with my reading
A snap shot of my life now would be dad and I sitting by the ocean in the Outer Banks… 🙂 So happy we are here to bring the new year in, but missing all of yinz in the ‘burgh.
Love you,
Madre
