I did some baking for fun over the weekend and it felt lovely to play with buttercream and chocolate just because. I decided to make s’mores cupcakes and thought they turned out well.
I used a basic vanilla cake recipe and added this emulsion to the batter. Once the cupcakes were baked and cooled, I cored them and filled them with Nutella.
I wish I had marshmallow fluff on hand because I would have filled some of the cupcakes with that, too, for the marshmallow component of s’mores. Next time 😉
After filling the cupcakes, I frosted them with a basic vanilla buttercream.
Then it was onto the fun stuff: decorating! I melted chocolate and piped it into heart shapes and once the hearts cooled, I put those in the frosting.
For the other cupcakes, I used mini chocolate chips, graham crackers, and graham cracker crumbs to decorate them.
I wish I would have had mini marshmallows on hand to top them with. Once again, next time 😉
It was a fun little baking project and I love how they turned out!
Now I need to decide what to bake next! Any ideas?!

Ohh what a cool little cupcake carrier!! These are beautiful and look delicious. I love baking just because, it takes the pressure off.
It really is! My sister-in-law got it for me and I love that it carries the cupcakes and displays them! Truthhhhh on baking just because. No pressure is so nice because you can be creative without worrying about the end result!
