Hello hello! Another Monday. I love Mondays because they feel like a fresh start to the week. Maybe I’m just weird.
I have some pictures to share!
Check out Hannah! She is doing so well in track this year. She runs the mile in 6:20 and the two mile in 14:01. What a beast! She’s always been a great athlete.
She’s grown up so much since she first began running track!
I could brag about Hannah all day long. I love my little sister so much!
Moving on…
Jimmy made fun of me for collecting a bouquet of dandelions. He claims they are weeds. I claim they are pretty.
Saturday morning I woke up knowing that I had a big project to do for my news editing class. So I decided to bake cupcakes. Very logical. I made chocolate chip cupcakes with cookie dough frosting. Can’t go wrong with cookie dough!
I also rode my bike this weekend. Yes, I own a bike! My parents gave me a road bike for Christmas (they rock), and I finally got the chance to ride it outside on the Montour Trail! I loved it.
Alrighty, that’s all I have time to share today. I have to finish up that project I was putting off on Saturday!
How was your weekend?
Yay, I’m the first one to like and comment! Don’t worry, I’m not stalking you! This just popped up in my WordPress reader which I’m browsing while waiting for dinner to cook…it’s nearly 7 pm here.
My weekend was pretty quiet. I’m job-hunting at the moment (trying to fill my time before I return from my leave of absence and go back to college in the autumn) and I’m thinking about doing some volunteering near where I live. I made some progress with that during the weekend.
Congrats to Hannah! And those cupcakes look awesome, by the way. It looks like you had a great weekend! ๐
It sounds like you’ve been super productive! I wish I could be that way!! I’m glad you’ve been making some progress and thinking about volunteering–it’s so rewarding!
No, seriously, I’m the world’s biggest procrastinator!
Thank you. ๐ I’m looking forward to it.
Congrats to Hannah! That is awesome that she’s doing the mile and two mile because that’s what I coached when I coached track so I consider those the best events :). And her times are good too! Your cupcakes look delicious and I don’t blame you to make tasty baked goods when you have big projects due, hehe. It’s more fun that way!
Amen to that! I’ll make sure to tell Hannah that the mile and two mile are the best races ๐
I guess we are both on the bike kick, I can’t wait for mine to get here. Those cupcakes look gorgeous, you are such a baker. Wow dude, your sister is awesome! I remember I did those two events in high school too, not easy races at all so I get it!
How cool that you’re getting a bike! I bet that will be amazing in D.C.!!
Wow you can bake for me anytime. You can’t go wrong with cookie dough. You just can’t. It’s so nice to see how much you love your sister! I’m not sure I’ll ever be at that level with my brother but we’ve gotten a lot better overtime. It’s fun to be able to go and feel proud of what they are doing!
Amen to that!! I would love to bake for you ๐
That cookie dough frosting looks amazing. I can’t even handle it!! ๐
Haha, thank you!!
Your sister is so fast! It must “run” in the family – har har! I’m hilarious ๐
Those cupcakes look so good! Is there a recipe for the frosting? I could eat that with a spoon!
Hahahaha you crack me up!
yes there is a recipe! It’s basically cookie dough without eggs, and I chopped up the chocolate chips a bit (I was supposed to use mini ones but didn’t have any)! This is the recipe I followed:

I added extra milk because it was really thick, too!
ahh that looks so good! Also, A+ for her awesome blog name! ๐
My mom told me I always used to pull out dandelions and give bouquets to people I really liked. She said I used to bring so many into the house and, although she never showed it, hated the fact I brought weeds in the house. I think they’re pretty, too! >:[
That’s so cute and I love that your mom never said anything, haha! My mom would be the same way!
Love the shout out to your sister! Sisters are the best.
My weekend was good. But not active. There was no running or biking involved. I did shop. That’s cardio, right? And I attended a wedding. Which, let’s face it, can sometimes be a work out in itself.
So true! Shopping is totally cardio :p
Haha, Hannah is so little in that picture of when she first started track! So cute!
My sister does track too! She’s a complete beast though, she does the throwing! And tell Jimmy that weeds are all in the eye of the beholder ๐
Those cupcakes look awesome!!
Look at the difference in Hannah! Awesome! She is super speedy, too ๐ P.S. I want all of those cupcakes…
Hannah is the bomb. She is going to be a powerhouse (not that she already isn’t).
CUPCAKES!
and family! so glad you and your sister are so close!!
Go Hannah! A 6:20 mile is so awesome! I love how you are super close with your sister. I’m the same way with mine! And your cupcakes look amazing…cookie dough frosting?!?!? Holy cow, that sounds wonderful (and so much better than doing a school project) ๐
I’m with you on the dandelions! I think they’re pretty. Who cares if technically they are weeds? ๐ Kudos to Hannah, by the way! That’s amazing!
Dandelions are so much more than weeds! Rock on for celebrating those bring yellow spring blooms ๐ And aww, your sister has grown up so much!
Hanah is getting so FAST! You guys are going to dominate the local running circuit. ๐
I have a sister named Hannah in track right now also!!! ๐
I recently found the Montour trail! I love it!
I like you am very proud of my sister. She has lost 40 pounds and I am so happy for her!
I totally have been known to pick a bouquet of dandelions. Ha, ha. ๐ They are so bright and cheery. And while Nate would agree with Jimmy, I agree with you. They’re too pretty to be weeds!! ๐
Those cupcakes look amazing!!!
Your sister is whoa speedy!! Just like you! These cupcakes look amazing, CANNOT go wrong with cookie dough. I think your bundle of weeds is purdy!
