About two weeks ago, I noticed that the gym I work at didn’t offer any fitness classes on Saturdays. I emailed my manager and asked her if she wanted me to teach a Saturday morning Spinning class and she said yes! It turned out that the gym was actually looking for someone to teach on Saturday mornings and I’m now that gal πMy first Saturday morning class went well. It was small, but I think that was because my manager put signs up advertising the class only a few days before I taught it. I have been making sure to tell people in my other Spinning classes that I now teach on Saturday mornings. It’s going to be fun!
I’m now teaching three Spinning classes a week and I love it. A year ago, I never would have guessed that I’d be a Spinning instructor, or that I’d enjoy it so much because I’m very shy and quiet. Teaching others has really pushed me outside of my comfort zone and I’m glad I have to opportunity to motivate people three times a week now!
way to go get it! i mean that is so awesome, I have always wanted to teach some sort of fitness class. this is just such an inspiring post
That is so awesome, I’m really glad you have the opportunity to teach spinning and motivate people. That’s kinda how I feel about coaching cross country and track, I never thought I would do something like this but I love it. Bet your class will have a lot of participants once people hear about it, good to get that Saturday workout in before the weekend gets busy!
So happy for you. Nice job getting that Saturday gig now! π
YAY! How cool!!! π
I’ve never tried spinning, but this sounds awesome! Congrats, what a perfect way to do something you love… while getting paid!!
Congratulations! I wanna come to one of your classes someday!
I love that you went for it and got your certification! I bet you rock as a spinning teacher–can I come take a class? π
I bet your class is going to be a success – think of how many people work out on the weekend because their schedules don’t allow them to during the work week? You are so business savvy. Way to see a “hole in the market” and jump on it!
How exciting! Love that you do this! π
What a cool opportunity! I am always jealous of instructors because you get your workout in while you’re making money.
That’s so cool that you teach spinning! Nice job taking initiative in starting a Saturday class. I bet you are an awesome spin instructor! I’d love to take one of your classes!
Seriously so awesome girl! I love how motivated you are and I think it’s great you got into instructing. Can you believe that just a year ago you wouldn’t have even imagined this?! It’s crazy what life throws at us, and I’m so happy you jumped on this opportunity wagon.
That’s so exciting! I wonder if there’s a way for me to take your class over Christmas break if I’m a Y member at the y here?…
This is so awesome! I wish I lived in PA so I could come to your class!
Just read about your awful Night Allie, love how you dealt with it.
That is awesome! Way to take the initiative! I’m glad you’ve found a bit of yourself in teaching and spinning.
