It’s almost Thanksgiving!!

I will give thanks to the LORD because of his righteousness;
I will sing the praises of the name of the LORD Most High. Psalm 7:17

I thought that verse was appropriate for this wonderful time of year and anytime of year! Its super important to give thanks in all circumstances, good and bad, because God makes everything happen according to his plan!

So, lately I have been switching up my breakfast routine because I am a die hard cereal freak. Like i’m not kidding, I could eat cereal for every single meal and be content! (More than content!) I just love, love cereal! So I decided to have some fruit and oatmeal in the mornings, who know’s maybe I’ll make a smoothie for breakfast 😉

I love me some brown sugar on my oatmeal babyyy!

It is soup season. Yes. Yes. Yay. Soup ❤

I had this lunch the other day. Salmon salad w/ butternut squash soup:

It was yum. I like butternut squash soup or maybe broccoli soup the best… or just any soup… hahaha

Since it is November, I decided to whip out the good old crock pot & make some veggie soup!

Soup + biscuit = comfy dinner ❤

I also made split pea soup, but didn’t get a finished product picture. I wanted to add ham hocks but we don’t keep ham hocks randomly in our fridge… Who does these days anyways?

This was my 1st time working with green split peas and it won’t be my last!

Carrot cake muffins were also made to be frozen for an upcoming trip to NC for Thanksgiving!! I recruited my little sister to grate carrots-Thanks Hannah love youuuuuuuuuuuuu!

(My mini me!)

Have a great Sunday!

  1. That’s funny. I just bought green split peas the other day. I haven’t purchased them in forever. But then the weather got warm again so they are still sitting in my pantry waiting for the weather to get cooler.
