Snow storm

Can you handle the pork?!

2 inch thick pork loin stuffed with fresh bread crumbs, parsley, garlic, and thyme.

Some veggies on the side too 😉

(Ignore my no make up at all face, LOL)

Has anybody seen a slab of pork bigger than these?! (Besides the Neely’s from Food Network…)

Yesterday Jimmy’s Dad and I created a scrumptious dinner! He picked out the recipe and provided the meat + peeled the potatoes and carrots. I created the bread crumb stuffing, cut the veggies, stuffed the pork, whipped up some gravy, and created a salad.

We made pork. And it was good.

What is your take on pork? I know a lot of people don’t eat it because of its sodium or fat content. I don’t typically like the specific taste of pork, but with gravy, ketchup, or mustard, it’s allll goood 😉

Bible Verse of the day:

If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you. James 1:5

I also promised pictures of the snow storm from Thursday night onto Friday morning. I had an enjoyable time driving to school :

I put my 4 wheel drive in and still slid all over, way to get the adrenaline rushing early in the morning! Woo!

My farmers almanac predicted the storm

The Farmers Almanac is almost always right

Yes.. I am 18 years old and I read the Old Farmers Almanac

Do you own a copy?!

🙂

Have a great day!

Playing around

On Tuesday I spent the night at home for once (instead of swimming or going out, etc.) and it was very nice.

I spend the night ‘playing around’. My camera got played with, so did my sister, and my pots and pans in the kitchen. My homework also got played with … that’s boring though 😉

Playing in the kitchen…

Stuffed Peppers !

Also made some pumpkin bars, but this picture does no justice to them! They were baked and FROSTED<3

Playing with the camera

Playing some basketball with sister + neighbors

(Photo credit to Hannah for this picture!!)

It looks like she made it, but she missed..bummer !!

It was a warm evening in Pittsburgh; 40 degrees!!

I had a very relaxing night at home playing in the kitchen ( + eating ), playing with my camera, sister, and neighbors. I didn’t swim-I did yoga and it felt GOOD.

The way I see it about missing swimming is this:

I love swimming. I truly do.

I know I am not going to the Olympics, therefore I do not expect perfection from myself. If I miss a practice, guess what? I miss a practice. If the weather makes me miss practice I can’t do anything about it, so why freak out?? If my times suck, no one is going to yell at me but myself… and I know I won’t yell at myself because I swim because I LIKE it. I swim for NO other reason.

It feels great and I enjoy it. If I don’t feel like going to practice, I usually won’t-i’ll relax with yoga 🙂 I feel as if I will swim for the rest of my life in some form or another, so what is the rush with making EVERY practice? I have many more times in my life to get in the water!

That is my view. No pressure. Just doing what I like to do 🙂

Bible verse of the day:

Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance. James 1:2-3

Okay, I cannot believe it is already Thursday! Pittsburgh is expecting a BIG storm tonight. Wooo I shall provide pictures!!!

Any snow where you are?
