Scrubbing, Reading, Baking, and Shopping

The title of this post pretty much sums up my life lately! We’re currently in a cold snap, but before that, we had some nice, warm weather. I was outside with the kids and decided to scrub our back door.

I wish I had a before picture. It was caked in mud. The clean door lasted about 24 hours before we got rain and it was once again caked in mud. How does it get muddy from top to bottom? Niva! She plays in the yard and then sprints full force into the door with her paws up 😂 (more…)

All the Books I’ve Read So Far in 2023

Well, we’re somehow about halfway through the year?! As always, I’ve been squeezing in as much reading as I can and have made it through 20 books so far.

I wanted to share all I’ve read thus far in case you’re on the hunt for a good book. I’ve read a random assortment, to be sure. Lots of books on midwifery and the Amish as well as marriage, parenting, a novel and some nonfiction.
