A year and a half with our sweet Dakota girl!

She is such a joy to be around and we love her so much. I feel beyond blessed that God chose little Koko to be part of our family! Here’s what she’s up to as an 18-month-old!

Growth 19 pounds 14.4 ounces (15%), 31.26 inches (43%), 46.1 cm head circumference (46%).

Wearing 18 month clothes, size 3 shoes, and size 4 diapers.

Eating Mom’s milk and pretty much anything else. She even tried smoked brisket for the first time recently and loved it. Her favorite foods lately are waffles, yogurt, watermelon, and peanut butter puffs. Her favorite drink is chocolate milk.

Personality Sweet as can be! She is silly, happy, and quiet.

Nicknames Koko, Dak, Kota, Kota Bear, Koke, and Kokie.

Looks like Her big brother! She has fair skin, blue eyes, and light blonde hair. Her eyelid hemangioma has faded so much! She is always sucking her fingers and has a whole bunch of teeth!

Sleeping Wonderfully. She goes to bed at 8:00 pm and wakes up around 7:00 am. She takes one afternoon nap for about two hours.

New Skills Climbing everything, walking backwards, waving, jumping, feeding herself with utensils, and trying to communicate more. She can say ow (lol!!), and sometimes says mama and dada! I also feel like watching her siblings use the potty has her getting ready to potty train soon!

Likes Her siblings, being outside, our extended family, balloons, Baby Einstein videos, Baby Signing Time videos, vehicle toys, baby dolls, eating, and books.

Dislikes Being thirsty or hungry, not being able to communicate that she’s hungry or thirsty, having toys taken away from her by her siblings, and having to sit still for too long.

Favorite Products Snack cups, Poke-A-Dot books, stain remover spray, and Crocs.

Other Notes After having an Early Intervention evaluation and finding out she was delayed in speech, Dakota started weekly speech therapy! We’re also working on teaching her sign language to help with communication.

She also totally shocked me at her 18-month appointment when she got her hepatitis A booster vaccine… and didn’t even cry or flinch?!!
