Everything We Bought at Aldi This Week for a Family of Five

When I shared my last grocery haul, I was surprised by how many of you enjoyed it! Apparently I’m not the only one who likes peeking into other people’s grocery carts. 😂 Since so many of you seemed to like seeing what we buy for our family each week, I thought it’d be fun to share another haul.

Groceries in back of car

This week’s grocery trip took me to Aldi instead of Walmart. I don’t shop there every week because there are a few things they don’t carry that our family likes, but I’m always impressed by just how much I can get for the price. Every time I check out, I’m convinced the total is going to be much higher than it ends up being. Aldi for the win!

So if you’ve ever wondered what an Aldi grocery haul looks like for a family of five, here’s everything we brought home this week. Maybe it’ll give you a few meal ideas, introduce you to a new Aldi favorite, or simply satisfy that curiosity we all seem to have about what’s in someone else’s shopping cart! 😉

What We Bought at Aldi

Aldi groceries

  • Vanilla almond milk – $2.29
  • All purpose flour  – $1.95
  • Sugar – $2.89
  • Prime Drink – $1.95
  • Plain bagels – $1.99
  • 2 dozen eggs – $2.92
  • Tortillas  – $1.85
  • Portabella mushrooms – $2.49
  • Grape tomatoes – $1.99
  • Asparagus – $2.69
  • Salmon – $9.35
  • Strawberries – $2.39

A Few Thoughts

  • I needed to restock some baking supplies (sugar + flour).
  • Prime Hydration and salmon are two of my personal favorites!
  • Mordecai eats bagels constantly. 🥯
  • We go through eggs pretty quickly, so I bought two dozen.
  • The tortillas were for making cheese quesadillas.
  • Produce never seems to last long in our house!

Aldi snacks

  • Peanut butter crackers – $2.89
  • Veggie straws – $2.79
  • Nacho tortilla chips $1.79
  • Cheese crackers $3.79

A Few Thoughts

  • This was a snack stock up!
  • Dakota especially loves veggie straws.
  • The nacho tortilla chips were a big treat for Sadie. I rarely buy this kind of chip and it’s her favorite. She was very excited. 🙂

Grand Total: $46.15

That’s everything I picked up on this little Aldi trip! Walmart still seems to be my go-to for getting everything I need, but I love a good Aldi run. The prices are hard to beat and it’s a good place to stock up on pantry staples and produce.

Overall, I was really happy with this haul! I have a feeling this won’t be my last grocery haul post, so if you enjoy these little peeks into our weekly shopping trips, let me know!

Do you shop at Aldi? If so, what’s one thing you never leave the store without?

Does anyone else get overly excited to check out the weekly Aldi finds in the middle aisles?

  1. you know I’m a huge Aldi girl! I never leave without their ground turkey meat. Dad and I love it for tacos and turkey burgers.

the middle aisle are my downfall… I find something every time I go!
