A Friday Afternoon Wedding

I just love weddings! We attended a beautiful outdoor wedding on a Friday afternoon and Mr. Mordecai was the ring bearer.

There’s just something so beautiful about hearing wedding vows and experiencing the joy in the air. It’s electric to me. The excitement of everything coming together, the future spreading out in front of the bride and groom, and the family looking on with smiles.

The weather was just perfect–sunny and warm. The ceremony was simple, beautiful, and meaningful. Mordecai brought the ring to the right place and did a great job!

I was surprised at just how excited Sadie was for the wedding, too. She was pumped to dress up, do her hair, and see what the bride and bridesmaids looked like!

Of course, I enjoyed dolling Dakota up, too! She was passed around the whole time and took the change in her sleep and eating schedule like only a third child could 😉

The bearer pillow was so special. The bride’s mom passed away in 2024 and the ring pillow was made from her t-shirts. How meaningful is that? It was extra special, too, because she and Mordecai had a deep bond before she passed away. That fact that he carried a piece of the bride’s mom up to her was just… I’m tearing up just thinking about it. We feel so blessed that we could be part of this special day!

Here’s a peek at the cupcakes at the reception, too.

It was a fun day! So much fun that our big girl crashed on the drive home.

What’s your favorite part of weddings?
