Four months with our Dakota girl!

The months are flying by. Dakota is turning into a wiggling, curious, and happy little gal! She loves eye contact and will often “talk” to us. Here’s how Dak is doing at four months!

Growth 11lbs 8.5 oz (5%), 23.62 inches (16%) and 41 cm head circumference (62%).

Wearing 3 month clothes and size two diapers.

Eating Mom’s milk! She eats every few hours in the day and then once or twice in the night when she wakes up. Her doctor told me to limit my dairy intake after Dakota had a few diapers with slight amounts blood in them. Mordecai went through the same thing around this age, too. Thankfully he grew out of it, and we’re hoping it’s the same for Dakota!

Personality Happy, smiley, and content.

Nicknames Dak, Kota, Kota Bear, Kota B, and Ko Ko.

Sleeping She slept through the night for the first time on 6/9 (from 9 pm to 5 am)! Aaaand she only did that twice haha. She usually goes to bed around 8:00 pm and wakes up anytime between 12:30 and 2:00 am and then again around 5:00 or 6:00 am. In the day, she takes two or three naps.

Looks like Mordecai, mostly! She has fair skin, blue eyes, and… we’re not sure about her hair! In some lighting it’s reddish and other times it’s light brown. Time will tell!

New skills Dakota can now roll from back to belly! She will also bear weight on her feet if we try to stand her up. She’s getting closer to being able to sit unsupported in a baby chair, too.

Likes Sucking on her fingers, eye contact, being snuggled, her family, watching Hey Bear Dancing Fruit on YouTube, baths, and toys like rattles.

Dislikes Not being in the action with her siblings!

Favorite products Unicorn toy, bouncer seat, teether ball, magic sleep suit, folding sink bath, and baby carrier.

Other notes Dakota went on her first big beach trip! She also got her first fever after her four month vaccines. As of now, her hemangioma is stable (praise God!), so she is still on twice daily timolol gel. I’ll have to do a full update on that soon.

That’s the update for Kota Bear at four months. What a joy she is! We feel so thankful God chose Dakota to be part of our family and we’re looking forward to what the coming months bring 🥰
