Another Laundry Fail and Our Weekend

In my last post, I was failing at keeping up with the laundry. I was working on the never ending chore the other day when I washed and dried a load… with a green pen.

Guys, I ruined Mordecai’s Peeps pajamas, Sadie’s favorite Hello Kitty outfit (see it in this post.. it’s so cute 😭), my Outer Banks hoodie, and about ten other pieces of clothing 🫣

In reality… they’re just clothes. It’s no big deal. I feel bad, though! I need to be more carful. I am definitely that person who throws all the laundry into the washer, and then straight into the dryer. Lesson learned!

How has your weekend been? Ours has been filled with a family Starbucks date, training Niva, errands (for Jimmy), Etsy orders (for me), and church!

Jimmy went to see Dune Part Two at the movie theatre on Friday night, so I had an evening with the kids. Once I put Mordecai to bed, Sadie watched the Paw Patrol movie and I worked on Etsy orders.

Saturday morning started off with a family coffee date! Well, coffee for mom and dad 😉

Then the kids hung out with Jimmy’s mom and step dad for a few hours! Jimmy and I frantically squeezed in as much work as possible until the kids got back home around lunchtime. Jimmy managed to change his truck’s oil and I packed up orders.

In the afternoon, I brought Niva to a training session! I’m teaching her the “sit” command in sign language so the Deaf kids I visit each week can tell her sit in their language 🤍

The trainer also gave me a puzzle for Niva to try out and she’s definitely not the puzzle queen like Mavis was. The kids had way more fun with the puzzle than Niva did 🤷‍♀️

Saturday ended with ice cream (it was warm out!) and an early bed time because Mordecai had me up at 4:00 am that morning… the time change is killing us haha.

It’s Sunday as I type up this post! I made Sadie a creepy Peeps pancake.

Then quickly packed up a few orders before heading off to church!

Now we are headed home. I have lots of Oreos to dip in chocolate this afternoon and then we’re headed back into church this evening. I’m looking forward to a therapy visit with Niva this week, Kids Club at the library, and my nephew’s birthday party!

Tell me about your weekend!

Do you have anything fun planned for this week?

  1. Ohhhh nooo not the green pen!!! That is rough. I know they’re just clothes, but that would have made me sad. I suppose a painful lesson to learn. I too went to see Dune this weekend, only because Duncan had an AMC gift card from his boss. It was good, we enjoyed it!

    1. I know!!! I was like CRAP! I felt especially bad about the kids favorite clothes (Sadie loves her Hello Kitty outfit hahaha). But oh well, they’re just clothes… that the kids will grow out of in months 🤣

So glad you and Duncan liked Dune!! I am too scared to watch!

  2. I felt so bad about your laundry mishap :(….

I have had that happen with pens, and it really stinks!

The packaging for all of your Etsy orders is TOP NOTCH! I love how much care you give to every customer, ensuring everything is always fresh and tastes and looks amazing! I’m so proud of you and your business 🙂

    Love, Madre
